    Developing Players

Hi guys, I am about to start a CFM as the Falcons and I want Trufant and Alford to be my CB's long term but Alford is rated low. Is there a way I can make him better through game prep/player progression to raise his ratings? I don't want to do every training drill, so is there a way to sim this?

You can let the cpu handle Game Prep but there is no guarantee they will focus on those specific players. The best way to raise XP is in game performance.

You can avoid running drills, just choose the Earn XP box in game prep and select the players you want to develop. Doesn't take much time at all to do each week.

They specifically made game prep something that want a grind.

It will take some time in the beginning to figure it all out, but once you do it fairly quick.

One key to getting more do out of your players is to pay attention to weekly goals for the ones you want to develop. In preseason really focus on a few backups and you can rack up some xp pretty fast.

My CCM only plays 8 minute quarters and the goals don't change.

In my opinion, and I may not have a full understanding, there is no way to realistically progress a team. You pick a few players and focus on getting them the stats to meet their goals. Everyone else, too bad....
