    80s VS 90s 25 Man Roster

    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share my latest throwback roster with the OS community. To make this roster happen, I pulled a lot of CAPs from a lot of rosters already out there. I am not trying to take credit for these creators work, I just don't have the time to make everything from scratch. The rosters I pulled from were: 1984, OS94, 1996 Complete AL, Historic Teams 90-10 & 70-80, All Time V12 and a healthy dose of Dr. Sublime's CAPs. I personally know how long it takes to make these rosters and would like to thank these creators for their contributions to my roster and to the community. If you have not tried these rosters, you should give them a look. They are top notch.

This roster is a similar theme to my NBA 2k and Madden rosters. It is basically my favorite teams from the 80s and 90s. I stress this is my personal favorite team list and not a list of the best team in each franchise's history. All players, even the ones that were pulled from other rosters have been tweaked and edited to reflect the year they are supposed to represent. Photo reference was used for every player and all equipment, pants, bats and gloves are accurate. baseballreference.com was used for all ratings based on that year. Video via youtube was used for each player's stance and each pitcher's windup. I tried to capture the dynamics of each team and what made that team special.

Here is a list of the teams on the roster:
    AL
    1984 Tigers
    1984 Angels
    1985 Royals
    1986 Red Sox
    1987 Twins
    1987 Brewers
    1989 A’s
    1991 Rangers
    1993 White Sox
    1993 Blue Jays
    1995 Indians
    1995 Mariners
    1996 Yankees
    1996 Orioles
    1999 Devil Rays

    NL
    1979 Pirates
    1980 Phillies
    1981 Dodgers
    1985 Cardinals
    1986 Mets
    1986 Astros
    1986 Expos (Nationals)
    1989 Cubs
    1989 Giants
    1990 Reds
    1990 Padres
    1995 Rockies
    1995 Braves
    1997 Marlins
    2001 Diamondbacks

    Notes:
-Yes, I know the 79 Pirates and 01 Diamondbacks don't fit into my 80s VS 90s theme, but these were my favorite teams for those franchises and were only a year or two off so I went with them.
-As noted in subject line, these are 25 man rosters.
    -My Gamer Tag is DDEL37
-I have also released a set of sliders that act as a companion to this roster called "Sweet Spot Sliders". They are more for the casual gamer than the hardcore.

    That's it. Enjoy. Thanks.

      Awesome work man!!!

Played a game last Mets vs Expos and I noticed that almost every other player on the Expos has a double flapped helmet. Is this something you missed with just the Expos?

Again thanks for putting these out!!!
      MLB: New York Mets
      NFL: New York Giants
      NBA: New York Knicks
      NCAAF: Rutgers Scarlet Knights/Michigan Wolverines
      NCAAB: Michigan Wolverines

Thanks for the heads up. No, I did not intend them to have the double flap helmets. I have no Idea why that is even in the game. I cannot recall ever seeing a major league player wearing one. The expos were the last team I did for the roster and I kind of rushed through them because I was pretty burned out at that point. I'll have to fix that.

Played a couple games with these and really enjoyed it. Played as the '89 Giants vs (who else!) the '89 A's - won 2-1 via a Will Clark walkoff single in the 9th. Had another going on the Vita this morning on the way to work (no, I wasn't driving!), '93 Jays vs the '85 Royals. Played 9 innings of scoreless baseball before having to shut it down upon arrival to work. Had some scoring opportunities but just didn't get the clutch hit I needed. Fun games though, looking forward to playing some more!

By the way, double flap helmets have still been recently used by some players. Google Victorino and/or Choo for a couple examples. I always thought it was for switch hitters so they didn't need 2 helmets, but some of them apparently switch.
