2014 Sochi Olympics Help

hey guys,

Currently working on building all the teams for the upcoming olympics with create-a-team on xbox360. Unfortunately with EA their actual national jerseys are plain awful, with the only country with their correct logo being Finland. As a result i'm attempting to create all the teams and will sim the 2014 olympics after completing every team. The problem i have run into isn't so much re-creating the jerseys, as i am using past national uniforms, and not the abomination that Nike has created. I'm struggling finishing the rosters with teams not heavily loaded with NHL talent, or the Swedish/Finnish elite leagues. Teams that post the biggest threat at the moment are currently:
Russia (*)
Slovakia (*)
Slovenia
Norway (*)
Austria (*)
Latvia
(*) denotes partially complete roster, complete uniforms

Complete teams are currently:
Canada
USA
Sweden
Finland
Czech Republic(^)
Switzerland
(^) missing players, but roster is full enough

If someone would happen to know where to get the KHL players and the rest of the olympians, I would be able to complete the remaining teams and sim the olympics.

You might find some KHL players in the hidden section of the game that can be accessed with NHL View, but I suppose you'll have to create most of them.

Switzerland should be easy. All of their players are in the Swiss National League. Or at least they should be.

im just using the create-a-team feature so im rather limited with the options, but can get a decent resemblance most of the time. obviously the logos arent going to match for any of them, so you just have to get creative with what options they actually give you. for instance using Canada take Toronto's logo and turn it all red, which then really resembles Canada's 2010 olympic jersey

if not, those pics looks great of the Canada and USA jerseys. Any chance you can share the codes for entering into NHLViewNG to update the team jerseys?

I thought EA NHL mentioned in the past that the issue had more to do with the need to get licenses from each individual nation's hockey federation, kinda like how we can't have masks because each individual goalie/artist needs licensing.

Either way if EA isn't going to give us authenticity, they should set up tools that will allow the community to share/create custom uniforms/masks/board ads/equipment.

I'm doing something similar to yourself, so for the missing player ratings for teams such as:
Russia
Slovakia
Norway
Austria
Latvia
using Eliteprospects I looked up the stats for all of the Olympians not in NHL 14 and looked up their ratings in previous NHL games and will use that to create them for my Olympic roster and I will fill out the teams with the fictional players on the national team.
For some of the Russian and Slovakian, in particular NHL 09 is great as it is the only NHL game that has had the license for the Russian League.

IIHF has nothing to do with Olympic jerseys.

i just find it unusual that Finland is the only one with there hockey logo present in the game. you would expect a company based in North America to have Hockey Canada and USA Hockey logos available but oh well.

canadian tar heel: i may try doing that, thanks for the suggestion. i've ran into a brick wall as of late. i forgot to save my roster after finishing the jerseys for Austria and Latvia, leaving me only Slovenia to do. Now having to do those 3 still and finish the rosters for another 3-4 teams is frustrating. Im hoping to have these finished shortly so i can do my sim

Can you post here the custom logos you're using for each team? I might be able to give you some suggestions based of my previous projects with custom international jerseys.

Not to steal your thunder, but the ReVamped team is already doing something like this with The Olympic Teams. Not so much jerseys, but ratings and current rosters. I'd say get ahold of Puckhead and see if maybe you can just add this to their project.
