Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story

Hi everyone, this will be my first dynasty here at OS. I'm open to constructive criticism or ideas for new things.

A new coach has been hired at Bowling Green State University, the 30 year old graduate of UConn, Sam Freday. Coach Freday comes in to take over a program that has had limited success in recent years, going 22-28 since the start of 2009. Coach Freday will certainly try to bring back the glory the team had when coached by Doyt Perry in the 1950's and 1960's, and Urban Meyer for a brief two year period in 2001 and 2002.

Over the course of his time here, Coach Freday will try to:
Win at least 2 MAC Championships
Try to sign a top 50 recruiting class each year
Win at least 8 games per year
Get to a BCS bowl game
Beat a top 5 team in their home stadium (without custom schedules)

    Gameplay settings:
    Game: NCAA Football 14
    Console: XBOX 360
    Difficulty: Heisman
    Recruiting: Heisman
Sliders: Jarodd21's NCAA 14 Heisman Sliders
    8 minute quarters
Only chasing after recruits in our school's top 10

    2013 Schedule:

                      Falcons Gameday Preview: Week 2

                      Kent State's Dix Stadium

This week, the Falcons will look to rebound from their tough loss against Tulsa last week by traveling to Kent State to play the Golden Flashes who are off to a 1-0 start. These two teams are rivals, so the conference opener should be a great game for both sides. The Flashes are led by senior QB David Fisher, and RB Dri Archer, who look to cause havoc on the Falcons defense.

damn what a way to kick off this dynasty, too bad you fell short. Would've been a great win to start the season. Good luck against Kent State

Yeah it was tough. Tulsa got in FG range on a screen pass, so I could have let them keep running and run out the clock on that play. Also, I had 2 timeouts I could have used to ice the kicker, but it didn't occur to me at the time.

Losing in the final seconds is a hard pill to swallow. I think its much worse then getting blown out. (Which I have now done twice this season).

A nice conference win over Kent State would be a great way to heal the wounds.

Schilz Leads Offense after Key Fumble by Dri Archer

Matt Schilz fires the game winning TD Pass to RB Anthon Samuel with 0:07 left

After Dri Archer fumbled with 2 minutes to go in the third, the Falcons D played inspired. They had had a hard time getting Archer and the rest of the Golden Flashes' offense off the field all day, but now finally gave their offense what they needed the most: a short field. 4 plays after the fumble, Matt Schilz hit TE Alex Bayer for a 16 yard pass, tying the score at 28, and officially marking the turning point in the game.
