Eastern conference is shaping up to be a decent battle in there as well.

However, The Western conference seems to be a little bit tighter, as the wildcard Canucks try to battle out for the eighth seed! Things are getting a little bit rough for the canucks, and maybe for the first time in years, that the canucks may bounce out of the playoffs.

An UPDATE Occurs in the following of November 11th 2013...

General Manager of the Canucks, Mike Gillis confirmed a trade with the New York Islanders. This trade has caused an uproar with the fans and teammates.

Canucks Acquire - New York Islanders 2014 2nd round pick

New York Islanders Acquire - David Booth, 81 overall / Capped at $4 Million

The teammates are asked about the trade regarding on David Booth. We are interviewing Henrik Sedin:

"Yeah, it's a big trade. I think for sure it is a big sign that we need to step it up and show that we're still an elite team." - Henrik Sedin.

"Wow.. I couldn't believe the trade. I'm shocked." - Ryan Kesler.

The coach is now being asked regarding on the trade:

"Yeah David Booth hasn't been doing far too well for us.. David hasn't been showing the things he needs to do... he knows that and he should be more concerned about his career."

General Manager Mike Gillis are now looking for a new top 6, not as a rental player but a player who is able to stay throughout the year and help contribute to the team.

                TORTORELLA ADDRESSES CANUCKS' ISSUES

The Canucks have finally solved one of their special team problem but caused another. Their PP is on an absolute tear with a raging 24.2%(5th in the NHL) and they're still continuing to improve it.

However, the Canucks are edging over 78-79% in PK, about 21st in the NHL, doing absolutely horrible.

"We are slowly switching in the system still", addresses Tortorella, "We're going to slowly improve and slowly implement at the system. Our players have to get used to it first."

The Canucks are 8-9-1 in November 11th, certainly one of their worst starts, but they look to turn things around, and Roberto Luongo fully agrees. Luongo is currently having a bad start, (3.04 GAA, .896SV%), but tells everyone it is still early. "Yeah..um, you know, we'll start rolling. Um... we're still adjusting to the system so it'll take time."

The Canucks are determined to get things back on the ground for November.

Luongo went all out and made some crazy saves! It was amazing, and I loved it. The PK is in progress and slowly getting better, even though 1/4 was converted, it was off an extremely unlucky bounce.

I gotta say, good things happened in this game. A. Edler got off his pointless streak, R. Kesler continues the point streak, and Luongo just made us win a crazy intense rival game.

Look out for more these highlight games!

                    Thanks Tazer!

                    CANUCKS WEEKLY NEWS

Things have been causing quite a ruckus during the 2nd week of December. The Canucks are up against the Bruins, quite a rival. There are going to be some interesting things popping up.

First off, the defensive core is making a few changes. Alexander Edler has been called off the line up, shockingly due to his poor play of not producing capable of a 1st line defensemen. John Tortorella brings up Yannick Weber, 25 years old, an offensive defensivemen capable of moving the puck extremely well out of the defensive zone.

Secondly, the offensive core is taking a small shift, the line up looks currently as of now with Burrows out:

Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Zack Kassian
Chris Higgins - Ryan Kesler - Mike Santorelli
Dale Weise - Brad Richardson - Jannik Hansen
Eric Boulton - Zach Dalphe - Tom Sestito

This lineup could use extra work especially on the second line as it looks extremely weak. We need a legitimate top 6 scorer, or we can have a quick rebuild for the next year or 2 to keep that window of opportunity wide open still!
