Re: Game Informer Madden 25 Stream (1:50 mark)
The Bears guy clearly has no idea what he is doing, he basically admits as much. Not the best video for people looking for positives.
It did look like the ball trajectory was better on that last TD pass for KC, unless I am imagining things...."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Game Informer Madden 25 Stream (1:50 mark)
The guy who streamed earlier was a rookie at the game, IMO...And what appeared to be more of a ***** than someone looking to be unbiased; he even made a comment against someone making positive remarks about the game, saying something along the lines of he would turn off the stream if any more EA/madden fanboys kept chattering....
Most of the chatter by far was anti EA/Tiburon and Madden....I am on the fence my self...I love football and can trash EA/Tiburon, but I am aso capable of seeing some of the improvements...Game feel will have to come once game is in hand...
The streamer was a rookie, as I said, based on the fact that he stated as much in regards to M25 at least, and then didn't test any of the known issues with madden, like trying to hit a TE in a four vertical formation..Or running some curls, slants and drags to show separation; and he didnt select base defensive plays like 2 man under or cover 2 or cover 3 to see how man and zones faired...He just used the gameflow junk...Comment

Well, is it just me or are QB Smith's numbers too far apart?Comment

I just wanna know what happened. Did they try to make it look as good as the early videos but couldn't get the frame rate stable? I mean, I just expected a lot more graphically"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Game Informer Madden 25 Stream (1:50 mark)
On the first play of the game, Charles runs outside right, what concerns me is that some of the Bears defenders remained engaged longer than other defenders..Not sure if that is an example of existing issues still in the game or attributes coming into effect? Some players broke away from their blocks and chased...
On the same drive, Charles's TD run, there was some nice moves/cuts there; at least one solid cut back...
I liked the stiff arm on the kickoff return after the initial TD...For me, in CG M25, I can press the stiff arm and not get the arm extension animation until someone is in close proximity...
@ 1:57.45 & 1:58.15 I thought the O-line made a good pocket...Just as good as any NFL pocket.
@ the 1:58.15 pass play watch the RT as he stumbles backwards off balance from the pass rusher...looks nice..Last edited by 4thQtrStre5S; 11-13-2013, 10:57 PM.Comment

Re: Game Informer Madden 25 Stream (1:50 mark)
First let me say that with each new console launch EA seems to capture the PC look of sports. People may not know what I mean but Ive noticed it since the original Xbox. PC sports games used to have a clean yet very distinct look to them. The opening shot of Arrowhead behind some fans where you can see the stadium and the fans look 3D but not at all realistic - very angular arms etc. as well as the stadium looks like a 10 year old high powered pc. clean yet distinctly unrealistic. and thin.
Same with the players on some looks - and I say this because my feed kept locking up for a few seconds at a time so I could see the game frozen and could observe.
One thing EA has always had a problem with is SCALE. yeah in replays and in cut scenes scale looks accurate, but upon kickoff when McAllister is waiting for the ball its obvious the scale is so far out of whack its ridiculous. I am speaking to how big he looks compared to say the hash marks on the field, how far away the wall behind the bench looks and the height of it. All of its off.
I never really appreciated this stuff until 2k started making football - they always had it correct no matter what view you were in. This doesnt detract from the game it just is now painfully obvious here in 2013.
Overall the game looks fine. It looks definitely more refined. The qb still can be made to drop back too far (as one of the guys from GI even stated after a completed pass).
The other nonsensical item is the use of the replay angles that EA chooses--HORRIFIC. A tv broadcast NEVER uses the angles that they routinely give us.
Its really silly to because they use the correct cameras for other things like cut scenes of the RB coming off the field etc. WHy not show the whole play from one of the Highlight creator cameras which are actually REALLY accurate to a tv broadcast IE. Low end zone, sideline, reverse endzone etc.
This stuff is just really dumbfounding.
Overall the game is passable. I preordered and its definitely better than whats on my shelf right now but man...Im starting to think that EA felt like if they gave Next Gen'ers a better total gameplay package with sick visuals etc that they would somehow alienate the current gen public and chose not to do that.Comment

Re: Game Informer Madden 25 Stream (1:50 mark)
Cannot get any good info from the stream video because, as noted throughout the game, neither knows what they are doing, and notice on the last TD pass of the game, the Chiefs are in a shotgun trips left and the Bears guy chooses a 4-3 defense...DUH you geek...lol
