Skill Trainer card unlockables

I just went through getting gold on all the skill trainer mini games to unlock cards for ultimate team and wanted to post the results below for those interested in case you want to focus on a specific drill first or just knowing who may be in the game.

Oklahoma offense - Barrett Jones - I forget the rating
Pass trajectories - Aaron Rodgers - 80
Total control passing - Russell Wilson (Wisconsin) - 78
User catching - Ryan Broyles - 78
Offensive hot routes - Andrew Luck - 81
Defensive hot routes - AJ Hawk - 79
Offensive audibles - Peyton Manning - 82
Defensive audibles - Derrick Johnson - 79
Oklahoma defense - Haloti Ngata - 78
Ball hawk - Charles Woodson - 80
Acceleration burst - LaMichael James - 79
The option - Cam Newton - 79
Triple option - Colin Kaepernick - 80
Shovel option - Aaron Hernandez - 77 (Will be replaced with Alex Smith tomorrow when there is the first day update on launch day)

I believe these are the "freshman version" of the cards, as I know for Woodson you can get a Heisman version that is somewhere in the 90s.

I'm struggling with gold on the Oklahoma defense. Any tips on the second phase of it?

Hold down L2 (or LT) to strafe with your LB from the start. Try to read if the RB is heading right or left. Then, once you read it, sprint as fast as you can to that side and try to hit stick the RB. I spent about an hour trying to get this gold last night, trying everything. Whatever you do, don't listen to the video and try their "heat-seeker" garbage. All that will do is cause your LB to follow the back, but about 50% of the time attempt some diving or lunging tackle that will leave you flat on your face as he scores. I didn't notice a pattern, but I did notice that the majority of the running plays go right, and only 2 every drill go to the left, for what that's worth. (As I said, it took me A LOT of tries. lol)

Thanks, I'll try that. Between broken tackles and guessing wrong (and the first 3 being completely different and mind numbintgly easy) I'm getting frustrated.

Does the team I use matter? My LB keeps getting bowled over. Maybe I need to pick a team with a great LB and a terrible RB?

Oklahoma defense was by far the toughest for me, especially bc it requires a 10/10 if I recall correctly.

My biggest issue was sometimes the center would destroy my DT and hit me before the RB would pass the LOS and I would be screwed no matter what and have to start over. Just practice/repetitions and luck finally got it got me.

Is that card permanent, or is it for set games? Also is that how you unlock Kaep, by doing the Triple Option drill?

I believe I'm reading your question right. Are you asking if the Kaepernick card will have a contract with a set number of games on it? If so, I believe the answer is yes. If I've got it right, every card you get for a set number of games, and you get contract extension cards in packs that you can use on players you want to keep.

Also, that's how you unlock the "freshman" Kaepernick card. There may be another version of him that's higher rated.

The card is permanent but if the number of games is at 0, then you need a contract or whatever it is card to use it again.

And yea that is how you get Kaepernick but that is a lower rated version of him most likely.

Sweet, thanks for the answer. I've been confused on Ultimate Team for a while, but not anymore.

Awesome. Thanks for help, even a lower rated version is nice. I wonder if it has his senior season when we went 13-1 and beat BSU. I'd expect a 90+.

I'm sure more information on how to permanently unlock cards and get better player versions will start to be clarified in the next few days/weeks. But thanks for the answer.

The total control passing drill is BS. It's impossible for me using Michigan. Either I will have a perfect round going and my QB will throw a pass so far off base that it defies common sense, or I'll get the comeback route that, no matter what I do, the CB jumps it immediately and intercepts it/knocks it down.

Add "dropping wide open passes for no reason" and "OT's decide not to block and let DE's blow by them" to reasons why it's impossible.

I managed to get gold on all the drills but I can't find the players I unlocked in ultimate team. Does anyone know where to go to find them?

Either I will have a perfect round going and my QB will throw a pass so far off base that it defies common sense, or I'll get the comeback route that, no matter what I do, the CB jumps it immediately and intercepts it/knocks it down.

Add "dropping wide open passes for no reason" and "OT's decide not to block and let DE's blow by them" to reasons why it's impossible.

That gave me a tad bit of trouble (used Michigan as well), but it was Defensive Audibles that gave me the most issues. Mostly with plays where the audible they ask you to call having no effect on the outside runs. Inside runs and passes were no problem, but could barely stop the outside runs at all. Having to get a perfect on that one hurt as well.
