What was Final Fantasy Versus XIII, is now Final Fantasy XV. Hopefully, Square Enix uploads a direct-feed version.

That's what I thought the end of that trailer meant - It seemed like an official rename. Of course that got swallowed up awfully quick by OMG KINGDOM HEARTS 3!

Graphically it'll be outstanding, but I just can't believe they are still calling it Final Fantasy with how vastly different the combat is.

Agreed. I'm more of a X and before guy in terms of combat, though I enjoyed FFXIII.

I just don't think Final Fantasy can ever live up to what it used to be, most notably VII, VIII, and X.

I'm admittedly one of the biggest FF fanboys around, but seriously SE.

QUIT WITH THE ****ING ACTION COMBAT BULLPOO.

Bring back in-depth stories, turn-based combat and world maps to get lost in like the glory days of FF.

Ever since FF9, this series (aside from the MMOs, which can't really be counted) has taken a turn for the worse. Yes, it's absolutely gorgeous but I would expect nothing less from that team. I want better gameplay.

Was looking forward to this, but I guess FF games aren't for me anymore. That looked nothing like Final Fantasy. It looked liked a 3rd person action game. If I wanted that I could play a million other games.

Like ubernood said, I want a turn based true rpg game.

Happy the FFX remake is coming soon.

Some details from Square Enix livestream:

• They shifted the game to next-gen and made it a mainline title due to the scale/scope.
• The game is an action RPG, but there are command system elements in the game.
• Noctis is "not cool inside" and not a cool dude, but a quirky dude.
• Party members are a core part of Final Fantasy, so there is a party in this game.
• Noctis can teleport himself into the sky. Though he's not a gravity wizard, Noctis does not fall at a Newtonian rate for gameplay purposes.
• The current generation console versions were canceled about a year ago. They're still working to improve the graphics on the next-gen version.
• They are making games in DirectX 11 on PC and then porting them to the PS4 and Xbox One since they can handle that. They can consider any platform that support high end DirectX 11 level hardware functionality and horsepower.

.....dammit I was waiting forever for this and now I gotta wait till next gen. Meh. Will probably be good but won't "feel" like a Final Fantasy game.

Yeah, honestly after waiting for years, I don't have too high expectations for this at all.

I have hope that maybe since they just turned Versus 13 into this that maybe this isn't where they are taking the franchise from here on out, which could be a good bet considering how long this has taken them to make.

Devil May Fantasy? Final Fantasy May Cry? Sure looks like a Capcom action game based on the trailer. But I'm willing to give it a shot; things have to change, and FF has always changed from game to game, so let's see how it goes. It looks like FFXIII-3 Lightning Returns may be a dry-run for how XV's battle system is going to work? At least there's parties...I hate where there aren't teammates.

Havent played a FF since I think FF 10 I think 11 is where they made you pay to do the parties etc. I'm willing to give this a chance we will see how it fits with my watchdogs the division, nba2k14, Call of Duty rotation

I've been a FF gamer since the original on the NES. I remember buying it at Toys R Us with birthday money when I was in Jr High. Since then, I've played every main title release in the US, and its always been one of my prime games series'. FF was the reason I originally bought a Playstation (for FF7), and I loved X for the PS2.

However, I find FF12 to be the absolute pinacle of the series and the best RPG of all time. The gameplay, graphics, story and battle system are all excellent.

Wasnt a big fan of 13, and was very disapointed by 13-2. I honestly dont know if I'll buy Lightning Returns or not....

Im not excited by the looks of the gameplay of 15, but it'll be the reason I buy a PS4. No other game on the horizon for the next gen makes me interested to switch from the PS3 before then.

Another person that recognizes the brilliance of FFXII. It's easily up there with my favorite FFs. Square Enix said if FFX HD does well, then FFXII HD could follow. I really hope so, and we get the International Zodiac Edition with the job system.
