Edit: I just created three different right handed road to the show players and they were all push hitters. I'm trying to get a pull RTTS hitter but no luck yet.

Most of my created players are push hitters
I must have created about 16 players to test this out.. I made them all right handed and pretty close to all of them had a higher hit percentage to right field. I'm not saying they were all considered Push by the game, most were Balanced but still had a slight bias to right field. The rest were push, and not one was pull. I did not test this out with left handed hitters.

Russell said its all suppose to be random, but very few guys are getting players that are pull hitters. Next year I hope they let us choose what kind we want.

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters
Glad that you mentioned this. I'm putting together a fictional roster right now, and I didn't even think about pull/push tendencies.
On a related note, how important are the hot/cold zones for batters? I'm using existing A rated prospects to create new players, but their hot/cold charts are terrible.Comment

Yeah if you are batting it's supposed to have some influence on the direction the ball is hit.Comment

I haven't tried it yet, but I wonder if progression is different for CAPs? More like drafted prospects with bigger increases? ?Comment

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters
My RTTS player is an extreme pull hitter. I made him a bigger guy (6-4, 220lbs) and leaned the sliders towards power. I don't know if those attributes help determine the spray chart or not (haven't done any testing), but it made sense to me that my big power hitter would be a pull hitter.Comment

If he does bat left handed, I get the feeling there might be a bug where RHB are getting LHB spray charts.Comment

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters
Hmm, strange that most of you are creating push hitters. On my one RTTS hitter I created myself and am 47% pull hitter, but this is in my 2nd season....does it change and progress one way or the other based on where you hit the ball?
I'm thinking its supposed to be random but if most people are creating push hitters maybe they need to look at how its working again.
Just a thought , do you think It could be influenced by the batting stance you pick when creating the player?
ex: Using the stance of a pull hitter results in the created player in turn being a pull hitter?Comment

Re: Most of my created players are push hitters
Does he bat left handed or right? I always make my right handed rtts guy about 75% strength, 100% power but I always get push or balanced with a slight bias towards right field.
