No announcers?

So for about the past week I have encountered what I believe to be a glitch now. I have not heard the announcers throughout this entire period of time. At first it wasn't so bad, but now I long to hear Matt Vasgersian's voice. lol. I don't have a clue how to fix it and after briefly searching around, I don't think anyone else has either. If any of you guys have a clue how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

Its not that I have music mode on. Everything is turned all the way up so it can't be that. I have just installed the new patch hoping it would fix it and the only thing I have noticed it fixing was in the menus I wasn't receiving any of the calls audio that they have so thats a plus. Other than that, same old same old. No announcers but all the SFX are still there.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I honestly couldn't find anything anywhere.

Not sure if this is of any relation, but I was having a similar problem. I figured out that when I plugged an HDMI cable directly into my tv from the ps3, I wouldn't hear the announcers at all. But then when I plugged it back through my sound system amp the announcers came back. Just something I Noticed

Im having the same problem, and I am not playing RTTS. Its always been fine but I have no idea how to fix this? This is a pretty big game breaker because it is pretty boring with no announcing

I know better than that. lol. But I have noticed that this has happened since my PS3 decided to not want to show any picture while plugged into my surround sound. So, I decided to just go straight to my TV and since doing that, I get picture and sound just fine. Just not the announcers. I may wrestle with my PS3 later and try and get it working on my surround sound, but I'm going to be upset if that is not the actual issue.

If youre going to go direct to your TV, then plug your PS3 into your TV with the PS3 off, turn on your TV, then hold the power button on your PS3 down for 5 seconds and let the PS3 read the TV connection.

Follow the on screen prompts.
