Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Both Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are now confirmed as being attached to the J. J. Abrams Star Wars Film.

I am beyond pumped at the possibilities for this one. I really wish they had run with the "Grand Admiral Thrawn" storyline but that isn't feasible now anyway given the ages of the original cast.

Regardless...Abrams + Original Star Wars Cast = awesome.

“Yes”. With one word, Carrie Fisher has confirmed that she will back in the role of Princess Leia in the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Fisher gave the quote to Palm Beach Illustrated who asked her if she would be back for the new film. While the other players (Ford, Hamill) have been […]

Really glad Carrie and Harrison are on board. Now they need to sign Mark Hamill...we need our older Jedi Master Skywalker for this!

If I were able to craft a screenplay for this movie, it would most definitely include the trio in supporting roles.

Hamill told ET that he's in talks to be in the movie.

Too bad we probably won't get a Thrawn series, tons of ship battles.

I loved the Thrawn Trilogy, but even as I was reading it I had thought it was not really well suited for film. I'd hate for any pages to be left out and those books would most certainly require trimming for film.

Thrawn is the coolest character in the Star Wars universe, expanded or otherwise, IMO.

Sorry, back on topic to SW VII.

This movie has so many possibilities, but the idea of Luke rebuilding the Jedi Order...gets me way too excited.

According to Fisher's rep, she was joking about being a part of the film.

                    Re: Star Wars: Episode VII

No worries on the Big Three, I think:

"Lucas all but confirmed that the actors who originally played Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia will reclaim their famed characters in "Star Wars: Episode VII." "We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison -- or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on,'" Lucas (accidentally?) told Bloomberg Businessweek.

Lucas backtracked, saying, "Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them."

Then he tried to cover his tracks: "I won’t say whether the negotiations were successful or not.""

LOL...Disney big-wigs going in their offices as George spills.

Apparently Mark Hamill said he would do it only if everyone from the old films comes back... I'm stoked to see a new flick -- free of Jar-Jar Binks of course!

Disney wants Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron in Star Wars: Episode VII. "As for what role Efron would be playing, we don’t know. He could be a Solo kid," Latino Review writes. "But what I was told for sure is the Gosling went in for Skywalker’s son. Yes, that’s right Luke’s kid."

Kind of having a hard time imagining Gosling in a Star Wars film considering his spate of serious roles recently. You guys are right though, I can definitely see some Luke (Hamill) in him.

Will it still be considered a Jedi Mind Trick if Gosling goes "Hey girl, I'm the droid you're looking for" on a Twi'lek?
