More in-game stats
Was playing Madden 13 the other day and during the game I was thinking it would be nice to have more in-game statistics show throughout each game. Heck, even having some sort of ticker that shows stats relevant to the current game being played, season stats, and career stats would definitely go a long way with immersion. I love seeing stats, would be nice to see an overlay come up here and there during the game showing how many yards my running back has, how close he is to a milestone, his season stats, etc. The only one I can think of that comes to mind that does come up regularly is the teams success rate on 3rd downs for that particular game. Definitely need more in-game stats!Tags: None -
Re: More in-game stats
Not to mention I thought in previous versions if you had a 4pm game the game would sim the 1pm games before entering yours. I hate that i can complete a 4pm game and have 1pm games unplayed. I should know if a division rival lost earlier in the day week 17 if we are tied etc. That matters!
Also that is more stats n stuff that could be played in between plays while in game like OP is talking about -
Re: More in-game stats
NCAA FOOTBALL 13 utilize this concept with mike flores and provided games results and scores from other games, maybe they should use james brown and tell was whats happening around the league.Comment

This is year one of a 3 year cycle. They had to strip some things to get the real time physics and CCM in the game. All this things that are missing will slowly be reintroduced into the game in the coming years.Comment

Re: More in-game stats
You're right in things getting stripped and re-introduced. I hope EA plans to build on each Madden instead of having to sacrifice something cool in the game for something new each year. Would having a lot of in-game stats take up too much space to include CCM, physics, etc? Seems like a small element that would definitely help the immersion factor of CCM and only make CCM better imo.Comment

C'mon man! They had cool cut-scenes in older versions (M11) and there were also nice lay-overs for stats. Taking them out is part of the plan to sell them as inovation in M14 (or M15, the three year plan, you know ;-) )Comment
