Anyone play this mod? I was thinking about trying it out. I know you have to have Arma 2 to play it. Not sure if my laptop could run it or not.

Re: Day Z
A bunch of Arma 2 guys on OS play this mod. Look into the Arma threads and they discuss this a lot. I play very infrequently but it is a whole lot of fun. I have also heard that there is a full game of this mod in the works somewhere. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

TBH better off waiting for that. arma 2 engine is fantastic, but buggy as hell unfortunately.
It brings powerful desktops to their knees.Comment

war z is pretty fun. i bought one of the pioneer packs i think its called a couple months back. its alot easier on pc's compared to day z. i played day z alot when it came out but stopped when the hacking got pretty bad. i cant wait for the stand alone to come out. if your interested in war z i may have a 2 day code for you to try. lmk and ill check around to see if i have it.Comment

Re: Day Z
Is anybody down to play this??? I'm playing the Dayz Epoch mod with a friend and we need help.
The epoch mod allows us to create a base and even fortresses. Its basically like a action rpg mmo.
The server we're currently playing on has slow walking zombies so you can really focus on gathering supplies and building your encampment."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Day Z
Looks like the standalone is still in alpha. Was really hoping to play this on PS4, but it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon.
It really is an Alpha
I really can't emphasize enough - this is going to be an early access project on steam. It's a true-blue alpha. Massive areas of the engine were entirely reworked, involving a large team of people over the last 12 months. Much of what these achievements will enable won't be seen for many months - so I really plead for anyone who is on the fence to take a skeptical approach - watch streams, read reviews, watch some let's play and form your opinion. You could always come back to the game in three, six months time and buy it then.
Buying early will be a recipe for disappointment, it's a chance for those who want to be part of that whole process. For them, the process is as much as part of the game as the whole experience. For many, this is the opposite of what they want. To enable a smooth launch, we really are targeting it at a core audience who want to get deeply involved in a very barebones experience that is a platform for future development.Comment
