What's funny is Stern had "no comment" regarding the way the schedule is set...

I would be absolutely shocked is any of these "sanctions" held up...

Totally BS in my opinion if they get fined. Your a commissioner. Stay out of coaches affairs!

But also don't get me wrong. If I had tickets to tonights game. And heard those players weren't playing. I would be really pissed off.

So last year Silver said it was okay, now Stern says it's not? Smh.

Re: San Antonio Spurs to Receive Sanctions for Resting Players

That was an "unacceptable decision" by Gregg Popovich?

So Stern values the ratings and money for one game more than he cares about the long-term benefit for the Spurs, which is probably why Popovich made this move to begin with.

SMH. Will be a great day when Stern retires.

It's a great idea. The Spurs will be there at the end. I see both sides. But I think Pop should rested them for the game before. Not a national televised game.

But Stern has no business in Pops coaching decisions

I don't see the point in fining them. If the reason he's being fined is because fans weren't happy and such, so what? What is fining the Spurs going to fix? Nothing.

Heaven forbid he rest his best (old) players when they're on a stretch of playing 4 games in 5 nights.

This is ludicrous, Stern better not actually follow through with this.

Amd I'm gonna laugh if the Spurs win the game anyway.

I'm just saying I've seen him do it before. I wouldnt be surprised if he do it again but kenny had a point

at what point do you stop interfering in a coaches decision...are you going to say a player didn't get enough touches next

The coaches are managers in a sense..even in hindsight though stern always threw fines at this

                        He mad

I'd pissed off as a fan if I was told minutes before the game that stars weren't playing. Those tickets are very expensive. So I understand.

Stern wouldn't fine the Wizards for sitting out 4 of their players.

Man he can't go soon enough.

Anything less than a 5-year postseason ban would be too lenient. Oh wait, this isn't the NCAA.
