How To Fix Salary Cap Glitch in CCM

Is there any way?

In the 4th year of the CCM with my friends and this terrible game yet again ruins it all for us. We wasted so much time on this stupid game it is a disgrace, I seriously want my money back.

Anyone know a way to fix this? Does the Madden creators want to actually do something about it or just sit around like they always do?

Im -1332.51 MIL now...

This happened to my league in our 2nd season.
We complained to EA on the forums, we opened support calls, we tweeted their developer accounts.
No response at all.
We ended up having to turn salary cap off and manage it manually

I've had this happen and found out if you release pending FA during the playoffs then resign them you will keep them next yr.. Bit you won't be able to bid on FA at all.. When we went to the next year the glitch was gone.
I think this glitch is caused from when you resign a player that isn't on his last yr of his contract. If you play as the colts Robert Mathis will come up and say he needs to be resigned but if you look in team income it shows he has 2 yrs remaining.... The only issue I find is that more than likely a cpl of teams might have the same issue right when u go to the offseason.. So they won't have a chance to resign their players at all.. I suggest if that happens you put out a list of players ppl can't bid on during FA .. That's if you have a solid lg which owners have some morals n integrity..

wow CCM is a complete disaster man do i wish they left in a season mode so i can play just a plain old season with the acual rosters from the real life NFL..that is how I like to play CCM just is way too much work to go through to have something like this happen..its just one thing after another and with every glitch that surfaces its more and more apparent that CCM was NOT ready for prime time/Madden 13... infinity was enough for one year they should have fine tuned CCM this year and unveiled in for madden 14 or maybe even 15 with how things are going

this glitch just happened to me, year 4 and -1332.51 MIL, it's pretty stupid because i have over 50 mill cap space then this happened, so i played on, didn't resign players that hasn't been signed yet and didn't sign free agents.

I drafted players to replace my players that i couldn't resign and currently going through my 5th season.

Does it happen every year after the glitch occurs or is it once in a while thing?

Once you get the glitch, it is permanent no matter how many seasons you advance you will never be able to resign players or sign free agents.

This is incorrect. Once you simply get to the new season most of the glitched teams will revert back to normal. However, there may be new teams that have the glitch in the new season.

It is actually easy to work around. As another poster stated, you make a list of "protcected players" and during the off season free agency you make sure that no one else signs them. Once you get to preseason week 1 of the new season, you simply give the formerly glitched teams the first opportunity to resign their "protected players".

It does require a little patience and having mature coaches in your league makes it smoother too.

There is another thread in these forums that goes into detail about this glitch and a complete workaround that will allow you to continue with no headaches.


Search back through the threads to find it. It's VERY useful.

The glitch wasn't permanent for my online ccm the following year it went back to normal
