International Jobs
Has anyone gotten the US job yet, or any other big job. I simmed a few seasons in career mode and the best I have come across was the Columbia or Ireland job. Then again I was in the lower English leagues so definitely not complaining about it. Just wondering what it takes to get a higher job.Tags: None -
Re: International Jobs
Well over the weekend I landed a international job with Paraguay after my first season. I wouldn't think Paraguay is too far down the ladder from Team USA.
I am manager of DC United and failed to win both cups as I made it to the quarter final both times. Maybe had I won my cup USA may have came knocking.
In the FC there is an option for an immediate international offer from your nation. I think it costs 1,500 points. -
Re: International Jobs
Is this worth it to franchise mode? International job as well? If your Team USA, who do you play? since their is not really any other North American Teams in game besides Mexico.Comment

Re: International Jobs
A different question that I have about international jobs. If you take a lower one , Hungry just offered me a posititon, will a team like England, Mexico, or USA still be able to make you an offer? I don't want to take this job if it blocks me from other jobs.Comment

Re: International Jobs
Now in my third season at Villareal, I've had international jobs at Columbia (WC Qualifying), resigned when I failed to qualify, was not fired, Belgium for the World Cup, got them to quarters, resigned after the cup, got the US job a month into the third season. Was never offered when I had another job.Comment

Re: International Jobs
Thanks for the info. I have a rather dumb question - is it fun? Can you train or scout players and see their form? I'm hooked on international management in FM 2012 and while it's basically just a numbers game and matches, it's rather fun.Comment

Re: International Jobs
It also presents some interesting decisions from a club perspective. I am manager at Villareal and of Team USA. My scouting team is really good and recently pulled in a lot of good talent. Right now I have the option of playing two 16 year old, 69 rated outside midfielders. One is German, one American, guess who is getting preferential treatment so they develop in time for the 2018 World Cup.Comment

for those that have gotten the USA job, how does that work with Mexico being the only other concacaf nation? no qualifiers?Comment

Re: International Jobs
Haven't been through World Cup Qualifying but the US and Mexico were entered into a tournament with South American teams similar to Copa America or the Euros. Didnt get the job til after the 2014 World Cup so I will update when I get to qualifying. Im guessing you still play Concacaf teams that are unlicensed with generic jerseys and flag logos.Comment
