so guys after playing the demo, will the new "true broadcast" camera be your first choice? if so will it be difficult to make the transition, and do you think youll be able to play the game on the same level that you used to with one of the overhead cams?

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
I am happy they got it in though for those that have been asking for a true broadcast cam for a while now. -
Noooooooo. I've been playing overhead since NHL 10. I tried the TBC in the demo and immediately hated it for the simple fact I had to push down to shoot as NJD. I always run Overhead, Prefer Up. I tried TCB two or three times and couldn't get it out of my zone.

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
I've been playing with Action/Ice cams since I started playing NHL(and similar view for NBA games).
I think it'd be real hard to transition to a diff camera, especially after using a certain one for 10+ years. And would be even harder now when taking shots would be side to side on the analog stick, compared to just up and down like I've gotten used to(and MLB analog swinging/pitching is the same way)Comment

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
100% yes. No question about it. It took some time getting used to the 2k10 broadcast view. Now I can't go back to playing the vertical way.
A tip for those trying it. Make sure you turn "Auto Zoom" off. Makes quite the difference. The zoom makes finding the pucks in the corners hard to see sometimes.PS4 | jamiedallaireComment

I'll use it for offline modes only. Only it pretty much has to be the Ice cam or Be a Pro High for EASHL/OTP games.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
I wasn't able to play before work today, so I can't say for sure. But I've been using the side-scrolling broadcast camera for years for offline/versus play with camera relative controls. So I assume I'll be using the TBC in NHL13 since it looks fantastic and I'm already accustomed to the controls.Comment

Probably for CPU vs CPU games, so I feel like I'm watching on tv...Comment

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
Absolutely yes!
That's the only camera where the game feels new. On all other cameras it just feels as if I'm playing NHL 12.1, whereas on TBC all the new additions (momentum, acceleration and vision control) feel much more pronounced and accentuated.
It's definitely a learning curve (especially when puck handling and shooting) but the feeling is much better and the game feels that much closer to the real thing.Comment

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
I never played with a broadcast type cam before I downloaded the demo today but decided I would give it a try and am absolutely loving it. After playing with the Action cam for the last 10-12 years, I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get somewhat used to a new angle. It just seems to make everything more realistic. The puck bounces, deflected shots and passes, and saves all look more realistic in my opinion.Comment

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?
to be honest the back and forth with the TBC was making me dizzy and nauseous. I want to like it, but I went back to the original broadcast camera and was happier.Comment
