NBA 2k13 How do you want to be drafted?
There have been a couple of different ways to determine where your my player gets drafted from the nba combine to the rookie showcase. Me personally i would love to see a march madness like tournament to determine our draft stock like how ncaa football 13 uses high school football to determine where you get a scholarship. I know that because of licensing the colleges may not be authentic but it would still be fun. What are your thoughts on this? Do you guys have any other ideas on how to determine where you get drafted? -

go to a draft combine. and they could have you do certain drills to determine your agility, vertical, and all that stuff. -

Draft Combine, then the Draft Showcase. After that Summer League.Comment

i think we should have the draft combine to work on some skills, maybe have little competitions against rookies in our position expected to go around the same place we are. then the one game showcase. how we've done in the combine and the showcase should be factored into our draft stock. if we have a great combine but bomb in the show case then maybe we should be 11-14. if we do well in both then we should get rewarded with a top 5 pickComment

Road to March Madness like Road to Glory mode.
Play that, then go into the NBA Draft Combine , all of that should be a factor before you get drafted. IF you'd want to go in straight from Highschool then you should only have to do the NBA Combine but the catch is you'd have a harder time receiving a higher draft status only doing one instead of both. Not everyone can be LeBron and Kobe or KG.

It would be cool if you can actually walk around with your my player. Like the hanger from nba live 09 where you basically walked to game modes with your teammates and did drills. That would be cool, doing realistic drills and instead of talking to the insider after the game you talk to your trainer. Just like in real life. It would be like a weekly assessment when you spoke to your trainer.ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE CHANNELS DEDICATED TO THE SIM COMMUNITY CLICK THE LINKS BELOW, AND SUBSCRIBE FOR ALL SIM CONTENT.

Draft Combine would be a good thing. Where we could get graded(on how well we do) and compared to other players. We could still have a showcase right before the draft. Your size should be more a factor to draft stock.
If you do great in drills and have a good game, your stock would rise.Comment

I think it would be cool if you did something similar to EA's NCAA 13, where you not only play college football, but HS FOOTBALL. I think if they integrated into NBA 2K13, then it would be a must buy for me. I think the NCAA>NBA transition would(could?) be just like HS>NCAA.Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks

Re: NBA 2k13 How do you want to be drafted?
In my opinion, all these ideas about NCAA, workout for teams, draft combine & summer league are great ONLY if you play My Player ONCE.
Can you really be bothered to go through all those games/drills if you were to create another player?
I would love to see the following drafting process:
1. Draft combine drills <-- This should determine how much extra attributes you earn. For example, if you are a defensive minded centre, and you do really well in the rebounding/post defense drills, then you receive bonus upgrades as opposed to doing very poorly. In addition, doing well should also boost your potential (in my opinion, the potential attribute should be based on how effective you actually perform in the draft combine overall).
2. Draft combine exhibition game <-- 1 game only
3. Interview by potential draft teams as well as the media
4. Draft Day.
I hope 2k does not bring back the training camp process where you would have to play 5 "meaningless" games and avoid getting cut by the team. However, if they were made optional then I'm happy with that, as it can cater to some people who would want these extra games to boost their skill points.
PLEASE 2K MAKE IT MUCH HARDER TO EARN MINUTES ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NOT A LOTTERY PICK!!!Last edited by vtcha; 08-09-2012, 02:10 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k13 How do you want to be drafted?
Be awesome to create your player then select which college you'll be attending and play at least 1 year of college - cos if you're good at the game you can make yourself eligible for the NBA draft and be top 10 pick with 1 year of college, but other players might need a 2nd or 3rd year to improve before joining the NBA.
The risk of leaving college early should be if the NBA is too fast passed to drop to the d-league, or just have your players name changed to Kwame (even though he never attended college you know what i mean lol)
If not that, i liked the draft combine and summer league games, at least<--- better than 1 game then WOW I'M IN THE NBA! THAT WAS EASY! GIVE ME ENDORSEMENTS FOR NO REASON /2k12 LOLOL

I would like to see 2nd round draft picks and the D-league come back. In 2K11, it was cool that if you did not do well in the draft and summer games, you got sent to the D-league to work on your skills in a easier environment. Getting called back up to the NBA team once you got your skills together was kinda exciting.Comment
