You may recall that the first print of the last Medal of Honor game, the “limited edition” as it was dubbed, included tokens for access to the Battlefield 3 beta. Further, since Medal of Honor: Warfighter will have the same incentive for Battlefield 4, the next game in the Battlefield franchise may release next year. It would be far fetched for EA to include beta codes in Warfighter for a game that’s more than one year out.

Interestingly, the Battlefield 4 Beta banner shows the Digital Deluxe edition, as it’s priced at $69.99, the limited first print edition will run you $59.99. Beta access could be only part of the deluxe edition, but that possibility seems unlikely based on EA’s track record. Also, the Digital Deluxe edition is exclusive to PC players, you can learn more about Medal of Honor’s different pre-order bonuses through here.

It should be noted that Battlefield Bad Company 3 is rumored to be in development through a resume leak.

Well Medal of Honor came out in Oct. 2010 with beta for for BF3, and the beta started Sept. 2011. And with BF3 ex pac still coming out in 2013, I'm guessing we won't see it till late 2013.

I just don't want the series to be a victim of it's own success.

They have done an awesome job with BF3... I think I would almost rather see a Bad Company 3, before Battlefield 4/

So they have Bad Company 3 in the works, but still considering putting out BF4 Beta here soon too? Sounds like market cannibalism too me unless BF4 is Bad Company 3, and the thing is just a place holder.

Even if it is product flooding and it does become the next MoH we should definitely consider the track record here. I think this series has always been the pinnacle of quality and they've done a great job up to this point in creating innovative games with high replay value and the same can't be said for MoH in my opinion. So as long as the quality is there and the motivation to continue to be innovative doesn't waiver then we shouldn't really have anything to complain about.

I'd be fine with it if they allowed mods like they used to. Land of the DLC with certain companies of course wont allow that to happen. Project Reality, how I miss you and the specialized roles with limited slots for them.

Sure would be nice if they could muster up the energy to re-introduce voice chat per squad like BF2 had going. Some of the decisions to leave things out for BF3 from BF2 do get annoying.

I somewhat disagree. I do agree that they are pushing out a shooter every year, but the difference between Battlefield and MoH is much greater than the Call of Duty games. MoH's last installment didn't feel like Bad Company 2 to me really. I doubt that changes all that much with BF3 and MoH: Warfighter. Could be wrong, but at the moment I think they will seem much different especially without Dice being involved in MoH this time.
