Re: fade back shoulder throws etc...
You can throw fade back shoulder passes, how!?
And the fade is still in the game, I throw it all the time near the goal line and my receivers go up and get it or attempt to. To throw a fade route; when you are at like the 5-10 yard line just hot route your receiver by pressing the right analog up.Last edited by ghettogeeksta; 07-12-2012, 04:01 AM.Comment

Sounds like you're referring to a jump ball fade which isn't what's being asked I don't think. To throw a back shoulder fade I believe you hold down on the left stick as opposed to holding up and trying to lead the WR down the field.Comment

Re: fade back shoulder throws etc...
Ok, I figured out how to make those Aaron Rodgers like throws. Unfortunately it seems really cheesy, almost Tight Shotgun crossing routes cheesy. The only reason why I'm going to put this out there is because i'm pretty sure it can easily be stopped with press coverage or safety help.
The play I'm using in practice to do this is Shotgun: Normal HB Wk Four Verticals (I know, I know) against cover 1 defense. I'm not sure if this will work on zone defenses, haven't tried. When the receiver you want to throw it to makes it 10 yards from where he lined up (this should be pretty in sync with the CB flipping his hips) hold down on the left stick and throw a bullet. Time it correctly and it will work 10/10 times unless the receiver just drops it.
It's very important to only be holding down, if you try to throw it outside (like it's supposed to be thrown) the CB just magically flips around and makes a play on the ball. Throw it too early and your WR won't look for the ball, throw it too late and the CB will probably pick it off.
I don't think i'll be using this in online games due to the cheese factor, but there you go. That's the only way I've been able to pull off a back shoulder throwLast edited by Biizz919; 07-12-2012, 11:11 PM.Comment

Re: fade back shoulder throws etc...
I can't do it in a game for the replay, lol. CPU won't stop pressing me and playing zone, he knows what's up. I'll keep trying but I might not be able to get the replay.
edit: screw it i'm just going to plug in a second controller because the CPU doesn't want to cooperate at all.Last edited by Biizz919; 07-13-2012, 12:05 AM.Comment

Re: fade back shoulder throws etc...
Thanks, It looks OK. Is the catch animation the same for this type of pass, or do they have different catching animations. I was thinking a turn around jump catch.Comment

Re: fade back shoulder throws etc...
there is like 2 or 3 different animations, one of them is a spin and catch. there are jump spin catches in the game but I haven't seen it happen on this throw. I'm sure spectacular catch rating has something to do with it as well, K State has decent receiver but none of them have a spec catch rating over 75.Comment
