    Installation instructions
    You will need :
-A portable storage device (USB key, iPhone, external hard drive...)
-A software to unzip the roster file (I use 7zip)
    -NHL12 on PS3 and a PlayStation 3
    1. Download the latest roster update.
    2. Connect your portable device. Then, create a folder named PS3 on it.
    3. In the PS3 folder, create another folder called SAVEDATA.
    4. Open the file you just downloaded and unzip the BLUS file into the SAVEDATA folder you just created
    5. Remove your storage device from your computer and connect it to your PS3.
    6. Turn on your PS3.
    7. Go to Game -> Saved Data Utility -> Your portable storage device
    8. You will see a saved roster file. Select it and click on TRIANGLE.
    9. Select COPY and copy it to your system, ignoring all the warnings (it should work even if it tolds you it would not work)

    10. If it doesn't work, tell it so that you can be helped.

    What has been done
June 3rd - UR 2.0 αlpha : All NHL players edited.
    June 4th - UR 2.0
αlpha 2 : Added Connor McDavid. Edited OHL, SEL and SM-Liga prospects. Marc Savard and Ian Lapperiere retired. Spencer Abbott, Viktor Fasth, Daniel Bang and Niklas Svedberg signings.
June 5th - UR 2.0 αlpha 3 : Edited QMJHL and WHL prospects. Added Mathew Barzal and Esa Lindell.
June 6th - UR 2.0 αlpha 4 : Quickly edited players from AHL and CAPs in German league. This is the last "alpha", so you can start a dynasty and give feedbacks to help with the beta. Still a couple moves to be done though. Lowered Pronger. Savard added to legend team with pre-concussion attributes but E potential. Brian Rufenach (RIP) moved to Ukraine INTL team.
June 25th - UR 2.0 beta 1 : More accurate draft rankings (I hope so, waiting for your comments), latest roster movements and trades (Tell me if I forgot some !)
July 16th - UR 2.0 beta 2 : New CAPs (see post #116), FA signings, some tweaks on prospects (Yakupov should be a sniper for instance, Granlund highered to B B B and put on Houston), positions changed for next season
July 29th - UR 2.0 beta 3 : New CAPs (see post #143), FA signings, some fixes, tweaks on prospects (notably Jankowski)
August 20th - UR 2.0 Final Release : 2012 Draftees have their rights set to their new teams (Yakupov with EDM, Galchenyuk with MTL, etc.) - THANKS CAPTAIN_KIDD. 3 more CAPS (Gaudreau, Compher, Burakovsky)

    What has been done
June 3rd - UR 2.0 αlpha : All NHL players edited.

    What needs to be done
-AHL, Europe and CHL players need to be edited
    -A few more CAPs
    -Post-deadline roster movements
-Some rating tweaking for NHL player
    -Equipments IF someone volunteers
-Proper roster and lines IF someone volunteers
    -Fix the player types bug
-Fix the draft year bug for CAPs
-Move Savard and Laperriere to INTL teams. (Keeping Lidstrom in game)

What I ask the community to do
In order to have the best roster possible, here are a few things I'd ask all of you to do. Keep in mind that as of now, it is in a pre-release state, meaning that it is far from being perfect.
Therefore, I want your feedbacks on what could be changed, done and fixed. To do so, I'd like you to simulate maybe 2-3 seasons into a Be a GM with injuries on and look at the way current NHL players (not prospects) have progressed. Are some stats unreal (too low, too high) ? Are some players becoming too good ? Are injuries realistic (keep in mind that they are ****ed up in this game) ? and so on.
For example, I'll take let's say I take Chris Kelly. He is a 83 overall which is okay for his play IRL. However, for some reasons, even on his teams 2nd line, he can score up to 80 points a season constantly... That's an issue that I will need to look into.
Also, you could spend a few minutes going through the rosters when you're done with your Be a GM, to see if the overalls are okay in general (you could be more specific on your favorite team - just try not to be a homer) and if the positions are okay.
Keep in mind that the ratings are higher than what they would be normally to fit with the player development system, which allows too many players to reach their potential.

Thanks. Were u able to edit any of the chl players? Is college players like riley sheahan in the game? Thanks.

Yes. All the CAPs that I already did are in the game. Sheahan, Tarasenko, Kuznetsov, F.Forsberg, Trouba, etc. are there. I didn't edit any CHL players from the previous Ultimate Roster release, but I had already worked on them a lot, but I wanted to lower the potential of many players to fit with the development system.

Thanks. I am anxious to see the potential of thomas jurco, marek tvrdon, and others. Anders lee hopefully is good. Thanks again.

Once again, it's just an alpha release and I need to go over many junior players. Once it's done, I think Tvrdon should be at B- B C and Jurco at B C B.

I'll be working on the CHL tomorrow and tuesday. I'll try to do it so that the top prospects are NHL ready (For example, I think Yakupov should be 83 when he enters the big league with a ceiling of 90-91, and MacKinnon a 85 with a ceiling of 92-93) and I'll try so that there are maybe 5 guys with a B potential or better (Thinking of Murray, Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Dumba, Grigorenko and Faksa personally for 2012)

Why is it on every roster update regardless who does it (ea or whoever) that one or more top 6 forwards end up in the AHL?

During the preseason, it is normal. However, after... that's all on EA. We can't do anything to fix this.

I don't think. Maybe try to play without the cap and with waivers disabled ? I don't know if this should fix the problem.

Did an update. Edited OHL, SM-Liga and SEL quickly. Let me tell you what are your thoughts about the prospect grades in those league. I do not recommend doing a Be a GM with Alpha 2 unless you change player A. A on Seattle to Mathew Barzal (if i included McDavid, I had to include him as he looks very promising!) which should be a 5'9", 152 lbs Playmaking center with 67 A- B- B- potential in the next update.
Also report missing signings and trades please. This would help.

WHL and QMJHL to be done tomorrow (expect an update). AHL wednesday (don't expect an update). The Beta to be released on Thursday if everything goes well. Beta will last a week to do final tweakings, movements, etc. but will be pretty much ready to use on a Be a GM.

                      Hi Angel

Sounds good. Maybe I'll check it out next weekend if I can find the time.

                      Did you fix the salaries?
You may have to cheat on some teams to not push them over the cap-limit, but I think it should work pretty well.

QMJHL and WHL done. This means that there's only the AHL left plus some ratings tweakings that you'll ask me for. (plus the more technical stuff, obviously)

First of all, outstanding job with the rosters! This updates have probably been the best I've seen in a while. I was just wondering where to find goaltender Andrei Vasilevski so I can use him in exhibition rosters.

                              Kingston OHL IIRC.
