Just wondering if anyone knows why we don't see more authentic advertising in baseball games? Not necessarily every billboard in every little nook of 30 ball parks, but at least some of the prominent ones like the Citgo sign beyond the Green Monster.
I understand you have to get the rights from the advertiser, but I can't imagine a situation where the advertiser would say "No". It's basically a free bonus for the advertising they already paid for in real life.
Do the advertisers want royalties for use of their logo? Or do the video game publisher's want advertising fees? Seems like a pretty even swap for me.....advertiser gets free space, and the video game becomes more authentic.
Just curious??
