After the patches All-pro Works really well.

After trying many different slider sets I set it back to default all-pro to find out it is very challenging and fun. I have played three tough games and lost 2 of three, granted Im not the greatest madden player but pretty darn good. Ive had good stats and realistic gameplay even pancake blocks about 2 or 3 a game which is still crap but better than I have seen. I do notice that I have been chop blocked on defense with no flag but I guess EA forgot some of the peneltys in this game anyway. So bottom line If your having trouble with having a fun or realistic game with sliders give this a shot and tell me what you think. I play franchise not play now not sure if it matters like with other sliders.

All star always plays well when you haven't played the game in a while. Once you get the hang of your offense again, you start 60 balling the packers with the cardinals (for example). The AI in this game is so disappointing. Among other things, they have to put "psychic" DBs in the game to cover the AI up. I hope Madden 13 doesn't let me down.

I am starting to believe if you play all pro and dont allow youself to hot route your wr this would be a good level to play at. Hot routing gives the player too much of an advantage plus the cpu doesn't hot route nor do they do formation audibles.
There are plays with option routes available in the playbooks. Isn't all the "normal, all pro, all star difficulties" in sports games the level that the developers label as the level they made the game for?

Some people on these boards beat the cpu because they find ways to cheat them...even on all madden you can "cheese" cpu to easy wins if you utilize formation audibles and other tactics. Even though formation audibles are utilized in real life the cpu does not use them in madden thus giving the player all tbe edge he needs. Unfortunately, ea sports do not understand football and probably never played the game...this will probably continue for years to come...

Hot routing is a necessity against humans... It's only an advantage against the CPU. Prime reason to NEVER play the CPU... Most folks that can hang 60 on the CPU can barely score against a skilled human because they are conditioned to NOT HAVE TO THINK TO WIN. The CPU doesn't think nor will it ever be able to make the organic decisions that challenge us because MACHINES DON'T PLAY FOOTBALL - PEOPLE DO. There's nothing the CPU does to simulate being human.

That said, when one player thinks while his opponent does not - the thinker always has the advantage.

Just my opinion...

Agree except for last part. EA can and does know football. Unfortunately I think most people don't realize the AI cannot be as smart as a human. I don't think you will get that for a long time.
Where I think EA dropped the ball for sure is thinking graphics and the same AI/ gameplay would work on next gen. Also when you don't really change gameplay and take away features for graphics it really shows you don't care for us franchise ball players. I think EA is expecting this online franchise to take off so they don't have to program AI or tune stats. It seems they pushed the Madden franchise to more of a call of duty formula where people just want to play online and thought that single player is dead. Madden was dumbed down from last gen and that makes no sense. they really need 2 teams working on madden for a yearly release at this point. COD does it don't be ashamed you make enough money on us to do it too.

You still can't make up for the poor QB play from the CPU on All-Pro just because you handicap yourself from hot routing or audibling here and there.

With how I have my sliders set up you can use all of the hot routing and audibling you want to and still get great competition from the CPU.. Now I don't know all the glitches or exploits on this game and only scrub gamers look for that kind of stuff anyway but if you are just using simple hot routes and audibles it's not easy to beat the CPU with how I have it set up. Default All-Madden is easy and I don't know how some of the other guys sliders are but I know how my set operates if you're the type of player who uses real strategy and not exploit and glitches.

TNT you know what kind of player I am from the matches we had online.. I understand you don't like playing offline against the CPU and that's cool but don't feed into the BS of some guys who say the CPU is so easy to beat when they are talking about All-Pro, Default All-Madden, or other lower sliders. With how I have my (black)sliders set up It doesn't matter how good you are the CPU will give you a challenge. As long as you are playing real football and not using certain glitches or exploits the CPU will give you competition with how I have the sliders set up. Trust me when I say that man...
