    Tyson Chandler's NBA 2K12 Rating

    Does anybody have any suggestions to what his ratings should be? (Shot Inside, Shot Close, Shot Medium, Free Throw, Layup, Dunk, Standing Dunk, Block, On-Ball Defense, etc) I am thinking he should be an OVR 77-80+?
    He is a 70 OVR in 2K12! (List of players rated higher/same)
    * Dwight Howard (ORL) - 93
    * Joakim Noah (CHI) - 82
    * Al Jefferson (UTA) - 81
    * Al Horford (ATL) - 80
    * Andrew Bynum (LAK) - 79
    * Andrew Bogut (MIL) - 78
    * Nene (DEN) - 77
    * Chris Kaman (NOH) - 76
    * Brook Lopez (NJ) - 76
    * Emeka Okafor (NOH) - 73
    * Marcin Gortat (PHO) - 73
    * Marc Gasol (MEM) - 73
    * Roy Hibbert (IND) - 72
    * Marcus Camby (POR) - 71
    * Demarcu Cousins (SAC) - 71
    * Kendrick Perkins (OKC) - 71
    * Greg Oden (POR) - 70
    * Anderson Varejao (CLE) - 70
    * JaVale McGee (WAS) - 70

    Is it just me or 2K got most of the Center's Ratings incorrect. Really I don't think Marcus Camby, Gortat, Bogut are better than Chandler???? Suggestions thx

      Yes I agree it almost pathetic to think that Gortat is the same rating as Marc Gasol? Are you serious 2K!

        Oh, this thread again...

        Overall means NOTHING, his ratings do, and his ratings are fine.

          His rebounding overall is still wrong though, its 93 overall rebounding for Chandler while someone like Shelden Williams has 99 overall rebound which is stupid.

          Before I started my new My Player mode I maxed out Chandler's rebounding stats just because of that, and also just in case I got drafted by the Knicks.

                I just hate situation where certain players are rated 99 at rebounding IMO ... 99 should be impossible Howard and Love should be at best 90 rebound ovrl which includes off & def rebounding...yet some guys have 91 95 or even 99 rebounding...Luis Scola ftw

                  If you think about it...what else does the Landlord (williams) do? He got to the NBA because per minute he was a heckuva rebounder...2k ratings reflect the 'specialists'. In order to make someone as marginal as sheldon williams do ANYTHING on the game then you focus on whatever it is he can do and you boost that.

                  Tyson Chandler is a good defensive center..that's it. Exchange Horford with Chandler and the Hawks win 15 less games because TC gives you nearly nothing at the offensive end. Switch Varejo with Chandler last year and the Mavs still probably win the championship.

                  YoungDee you still have to take everything else into account along with the rebounding ratings...vertical, strength off/def awareness, etc.. All of those things factor in.

                    yeah but sometimes i get unrealistic stats due 2k default ratings,for example i played on xmas with friend i was ORL he was DEN and at the end i finished with howard 22 pts 35 reb. i can live with 22 pts but 35 reb...it's not like it's wilt chamberlain era again

                        I think that Chandler's ratings are fine. And although the players "talent" doesn't necessarily go by overall, in My Player, the overall matters alot. if Tyson Chandler was still in Dallas, he'd come off the bench, simply because Lamar Odom's overall rating is higher. This was a huge problem in My Player and Association mode with teams like the Lakers. They had Shannon Brown AND Lamar Odom who, IRL, both came off the bench. Brown would often start at PG and Odom at SF. Since these aren't their natural positions, the got mad and always wanted to be traded. So 2k needs to do something about this problem.

                          A player I think very underrated is Deandre Jordan. He is a 65 overall ,someone earlier said that doesn't matter ,but if it's that low it does because his attributes are pulling his overall down. His block, verticle, rebounding, awareness all needs to be alot higher. I'd say he would end up being around a 72-75. We'll see how 2k rates Jordan and Chandler by the years end.

                            I always hated that. Seeing Lamar, one of the best men off the bench in the league, pissed because he didnt start. Same with shannon. Damn LA had 2 SGs and he was sitting behind Kobe getting great play time. 2k really does need to do something about player attitudes.

                              Yea I think Chandler is better than half of the Center's I mentioned. He is better than Oden, Cousins, Camby, etc. He is obviously not better than Horford, Bynum, Howard, etc. I say Chandler should be a 75. I care about overall because then I see stupid trades for him in Association. Like one time they traded Chandler for Camby and Batum.
