I always thought goal line was cheese outside of the 20's unless its short yardage situations. I'm in a dynasty thats debating this. What do you guys say? Thanks

Absolutely not. One simple rule in our OD ... Stop it ... If someone runs the same style of offense or even the same play the whole game its my duty to stop it, if I cant then why in the world would they stop doing it? Football is like that. Take advantages of mismatches and play to ur strengthsComment

Re: Is running goalline package plays outside the 20's cheese?
Yes it is, unless you have three very good tight ends, blocking fullback, and run blocking Oline. Which leaves essentially three teams in college football who have the personnell to run the Maryland I, Power I, etc. Surprisingly, in real life, those teams actually use those sets, because they have the personnell to do it. They don't do it for the entire game, of course. I guarantee you 99% of the people who line up in power i, mary i etc. have no idea what the blocking ratings of their oline, tight ends, runningbacks, and wr's are. But they just run it anyways. It essentially the same as running the spread option with say, ryan mallett, and being successful. If you tried to run with mallett, you wouldn't be successful, and you shouldn't be. It should be the same with the heavy formations, but it isn't, obviously, or you wouldn't be seeing EVERYONE using it.Comment
