Penn State Scandal Thread

I have looked around for a thread on this, but haven't seen one yet. Sorry if this is old news.

But - this is just devastating. I am a huge Pitt fan, but have always had great respect for Penn State's program and can't believe that something like this could happen there.

I was hoping that someone on here might be able to shed some light on this. I just can't believe that something like this would have happened at Penn State.

Everyone that is currently at PSU that knew about this, and didn't report it to the authorites should be fired. And that includes Paterno. This is absolutely sickening.

Article said Paterno reported it to the AD after hearing about one incident.

It's not an NCAA violation. It's a perverse criminal offense. You don't report that to the AD.

It should've also been reported to the police. It's ridiculous that NOBODY at PSU contacted the police. Child molestation shouldn't be handled as an internal issue at Penn State.

EDIT: Here's the Att Gen link. There are some VERY disturbing details in this.

It still pertains to a university employee. No one's going after Paterno, just the AD and another administrator, so apparently no one thinks he did anything wrong. One of the mom's of the kids reported it to the high school when she found out. If even relatives aren't going to police with it and choosing to go to school admins, then Paterno doing the same seems fine to me.
