ima pg and i score bout 50 points a a game, and get at least 5 assist each game but they come rare because nobody trys and gets open and if they get a chance to shoot they miss it, and i member this play were u stand outside the 3pt line, the dude goes from the right under the goal to the left of me and shoots a three, but anyway need more assist!!!!!

I have a my player pass first and I'm averaging 11.7 apg..

The easy way to get assists "post up and keep moving near the paint and someone will go to the paint and just pass it to the one who is open". =)
If you can't understand that's okay I'm not good at english =).
And I don't use pick & roll.

Call for a pick. If the screen makes you go toward the middle of the court(away from the baseline), go and someone defending the 3 point shooters on the weak side will sag off and help on you 90% of the time(because, as we all know, everyone in this game loves to sag off). Pass it to the guy open for three.

This works better if you have a three point-shooting big. I'm on the Suns and they leave Fry open all the time.

I like to post up a lot. I find that when I do a pick and roll or drive with the intention of getting an assist, I usually don't. Make decisions on the fly and you'll get more assists, don't predetermine them.

When i do the pick n roll, the defender always deflects my pass and my pass is 98 i think.

Get in the lane, then pump fake your defender as your teammate cuts. It should freeze his defender enough to get him a pass for an easy bucket.

Another way is to just isolate and try to get to the rim. The defenders will collapse and you can kick it out for an easy jumper.

I've been getting a little better with timing my passes on PNRs, but it's true that defenders will often deflect your passes and because they do it cheaply, you can't always tell when it's going to happen. Even when the pass does get there, half the time the roll man—instead of catching it and laying it in—keeps going under the basket and then passes it out again to someone who's covered on the perimeter.

Essentially the problem comes down not to the fact that defenders make insane, cheesy deflections and picks in the paint, but that you can't tell when they're going to. I've been playing this series since the beginning, and so I consider myself pretty adaptable to changes in the game as far as timing and whatnot, but I can't seem to figure out how to ASSESS a pass in 2K12 because the outcomes are so random. I've been in so many situations where if my player threw a good pass (he's a PG with an 85 pass rating, so he should be capable) it wouldn't get intercepted but instead he doesn't. Last night I tried to dish to a waiting Reggie Williams on the wing on the fast break and it LITERALLY hit O.J. Mayo in the back of the head and bounced out of bounds. Mayo wasn't even going for it. Timing of the pass was good; he just should have thrown it with more loft.

In any case, I think that's one of the problems with getting assists—it's just too risky to pass the ball at ANY point in the possession with the game the way it is for My Player. That and the fact that open shooters will pass up looks all day long.

Best thing that works with me bc the players on your team suck is hold the ball untill the end of the shot clock and pass it to the best shooter or the most open man when the shot clock reaches 3 then theyll be forced to shoot.

You could try not scoring 50 points a game and try passing the ball. That would be a start.

...and, considering you score 50 points a game, I imagine you try to And 1 Freestyle your way around the court, so you could try running some plays.

mite actually try and dat i do pass da ball ill have at least 40 points in da 2nd quarter and then nothin but passin the whole time until i rak up in assist but erytime i dey miss it and i dont like tha plays im given dnt even know wat half of them do except pick and roll, screen, and a couple others ........... and how do u call plays i press L1 is dat rite give me the rite way to do it

Call an Isolation then hold LB (L1 on PS3) to call in a big man for a pick and roll. Your man will cut to the basket, pass to him if the pain isn't crowded for the easy 2. Sometimes a defender will get off their man to guard the paint when your roll man is cutting to the basket leaving him wide open behind the 3 pt line. If he's a deadly 3 shooter go to him for an easy assist. If your man is cutting to the basket and you notice a mis-match (SF guarding C or something like that) Press LT+B (L2+Circle on PS3 i think) and try for an alley oop. Be careful though, a failed alley oop even if it's your big mans fault will result in you loosing teamate grade due to a turnover even though it's really more of a block then rebound.
