Has anyone declined a player who wanted to transfer to your school?

So a MLB from Penn State wanted to transfer to my school, but I was pretty well set at that position, so I tried to decline it. 4 times. Every time I tried to advance, it would get stuck on "Advancing to Week 1" (in the offseason). If I let him transfer, there's no problems. It's like if you decide that you don't want a player transferring in, the game has no idea what to do next. The worst part is I can honestly say I expected something like this to happen as soon as I decided that I didn't want him. That's how conditioned I am to bugs in this game. I'm just glad I saved it before going into the offseason.

If all else fails, wait until your next off season and move him to OLB if he skills will warrant the move.

yeah, it's not like he's a bad player or anything. He's an 81 overall sophomore. I just didn't really have much of a need for linebackers right now (playing as michigan state), and I would have rather saved the scholarship for offseason recruiting. It's not really a huge deal, just another small annoyance in this game.

Understandable, Ive only gotten 1 transfer so far and I was in need of his position. Didnt know what would happen if you declined them. No surprise that its caused a freeze though.

I had the opposite problem. My season wouldn't advance if I did accept a transfer.

Its another freeze bug that they failed to fix in the patch... its not new,, they knew about it (it was reported numerous times), and it is probably the easiest of the freezes to pin down... but they did nothing about it.

Just cut him from the team.
