    Minor League Free Agents question

So i usually just simulate seasons and try to build a championship team. Right now i am playing with the Astros since they are horrible and quite challenging to build. I have a question regarding Minor League Free Agents. They aren't qualified for Free Agency or arbitration. So im guessing they are part of Contract Renewable. But some are not in any category. So i try to sign them and all of a sudden they are not interested in my offer anymore. I keep on offering them again and they are not interested. I end up not being able to sign them and they become Free Agent's.

Shouldn't they be part of Contract Renewable wherein i can sign them as long as it is not 80% lower than their previous salary?

Im also trying to figure out why i couldn't sign Bud Norris, Chris Johnson since they were in Contract Renewable. Maybe I underpaid them that's why i couldnt sign them, but if anyone has had any problems resigning Contract Renewable players other than under paying them, please let me know.

Yes I believe you are correct. You should be able to sign unless the morale is pushing them in another direction.

As far as your last statement, I believe you just have to low ball them in the beginning and when you get to that last date, and if they havn't accepted, and they havn't gotten any offers that's when you do the renewel. They are under team control for 6 service years.
