NCAA 12 EA Chat Transcript from today

hey guys, check out this chat transcript from a few mins ago..

i was trying to see if they would offer any new help, info, or say gift card comp for the issues at hand while we wait..

Fiddy: just contacting you guys bc im disgusted with ncaa 12 online, dynastys, etc not working proper. the way they are suppose to!! and having to wait for patches etc to fix a game 2 months after release.. i paid 60 bucks and cant enjoy it at all.. also, NHL 11 servers, just dont let me on every other day, again, unacceptable..

Fiddy: not a very happy consumer here.. i buy all sports titles every year from ea and every year the games on release get worse and worse.. not happy about that at all..

Shelley: I do apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing with the game right now.

Shelley: But our developers team is continuously working on it and soon there will be an update!

Fiddy: so basically, i spent 120 bucks on nhl 11 and ncaa 12, and cant enjoy the games bc of ea issues.. does that seem right? that i cant sign on servers, and cant use dynastys etc?

Shelley: actually this is a temporary issue!

Fiddy: temporary? ncaa dropped in July, its almost september.. thats not temporary!! thats unacceptable.. as for NHL 11, the server issue has been a mess for 3 months, again, not temporary!!

Fiddy: i know you just are doing ur job and telling myself and others what u are suppose to, but its unacceptable..

Fiddy: i have madden 12 preordered

Fiddy: bc im sure it will be a mess as well..

Shelley: No, it may some tme not always

Fiddy: what can you do for me and everybody else while we wait?

Shelley: and we are here to support you at any time

Shelley: this is temporary issue not a fixed issue

Fiddy: for people that support ur game year aafter year etc, best thing u can do is tell us to just wait, its a temp issue? thats hilarious..

Shelley: please try these steps I hope it will resolve it but to fix it permanently our development team is working

Shelley: The first thing you can do is to powercycle your modem. This is done by unplugging your modem from the power supply and letting it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and then plugging it back in. During this time, you can reset your Xbox 360's time and date setting to the 11/15/2005 by following the below given steps. • Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller to enter the Dashboard. • Sign out of Xbox Live by pressing the X button. • Select the System blade. • Select Console Settings and press the A button. • Select Clock and press the A button. • Change the date to 11/15/2005 and press the A button to accept. Combined, these steps may be able to refresh your console's connection to Xbox Live and resolve most, if not all of your connectivity issues.

Fiddy: ive already taken all steps, i do that stuff daily in hopes for your games to work proper..

Fiddy: thats the only answer anybody ever has on ur end..

Fiddy: does ea realize that other companies games dont make you do that stuff to play them?

Shelley: Another thing you can do is to check the ports for Xbox Live. Connection issues typically are caused by one or more ports being blocked by router or even Internet Service Provider to help maintain security. First, try to bypass your router (if you have one) and see if the game can connect. If it does, then it means that the router itself may be blocking the needed ports for the game. If you are still unable to connect, the ports may be blocked directly by your Internet Service Provider. The ports for Xbox Live are below. You may have to configure your router/firewall to have the game's ports open in order to connect to the servers properly. If you do not know how to configure your router, you can contact the manufacturer of the router for proper instructions. If you need to contact your ISP regarding these ports, make sure that they are open for both incoming and outgoing directions: UDP Ports: 88 & 3074 TCP Port: 3074

Shelley: You can also try creating a new account to solve your issue.
For this you can follow the below given steps: 1. If you are signed in to a gamer profile, move to the Xbox Live section of the Xbox Dashboard, and then select the Sign out option. 2. In the Xbox Live section, select the Join Xbox Live option, and then press the A button. 3. Press the A button again. 4. Follow the directions on the screen. You will be prompted to select a gamer picture, Xbox Live Gamer Zone, Membership Type and method of payment. Note: Select Silver membership to create your next Gamertag.

Fiddy: those ports etc have been opened on my side for 5 years..

Fiddy: also, create a new account? thats an answer? i spend 60 a year on my gold membership, it should work on your games, bc it does on all others.

Fiddy: seriously, this is unbelievable. having to jump through hoops to get your games to work correctly.. does that seem right to you?

Fiddy: any type of compensation for all these issues? for a person who supports ea year after year, but the product gets worse year after year?

yeah shelley handled the situation a whole hell of a lot better than i would have.

i work in customer service and hear the same crap from people day in day out 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.

it gets so old, you actually think puling your hair out is the best option.

here you are complaining to someone paid to field calls, she probably dosen't even know wtf ncaa 12 even is.

Yea and where is everyone clamoring about how great this game is still? All I hear is crickets now. She basically gave you the run a round then hung up because you owned her lmao. Madden will not be getting my money until a price drop happens and 2 patches come out so I'm banking on getting it around Christmas.
