I agree. Nice to have something in a video game that makes it special. Always a bummer when they put a rare event into a video game, but then it happens way to often. I think it was MLB 2K7 that allowed outfielders to rob HR's, and then it seemed to happen every game or two.

Yep, they exist. It's funny, I just skimmed over this thread and thought, 'man when will I see one?' Just now in my game against Northwestern, their QB threw a deep ball to a WR who had my CB beat by a step. I switched to control the CB and pressed X instead of pressing Y. My CB did a full lay out dive and caught the ball before the WR could get to it and landed in the end zone for a touchback. My god it was awesome. I'll try to get a vid posted soon. I'm still in shock!

Glad my video could come in handy lol. But out of many dynasty games and play now games, I've only seen ones like that 2 maybe 3 times top, so its a good rare occurance.

Does it have any thing to do with the WR's rating? Just curious if a high 90's level WR would be able to do this every so often.

It is probably a function of SPC.

This is just speculation, but I would think they happen more often with a QB who was not that accurate and a WR with a high SPC.

This was my concern, if DB's could do diving interceptions. I NEED to see this!

I have never thought to press X/L7 instead of Y/Triangle. mind=blown

If you manually control your WR and hold X he will dive. I have like 30 diving catches doing this.
