hoping the draft classes aren't suped up like crazy again

way to many 90 speed LBs and DEs
short defensive and offensive linemen are not very common
big time receiving threat tight ends do not come out every year
to many under 5'8 but good RB's too

I think you can edit every player in Franchise now. So, you can lower the rookies ratings. I will make the highest rookie 85 at the most, maybe 82

Did i not read somewhere that they realised that the previous classes were a bit too suped up and have toned it down this year and made it more about potential and how they are managed in the game? Ie performance related growth?

I hope they figured this out too. In NCAA it looks like they got their ht/wt/speed for recruiting classes into a more reasonable range.

Madden had far too many 5'11 d-linemen. Too many MLBs that run 4.4. Too many WRs that ran crazy 4.19's. Too many guards that ran 4.6.

I hope this is addressed as well. Draft classes were fun until I realized how overpowered they were. They should be like how rookies are in Madden now. If a player is picked in the 5th round they are typically in the low 60s overall. This should be similar in the Madden draft classes. I think they make it faaaar too easy for you to find that "Marques Colston" in the draft.

Quick Question, why hasnt madden put in the new draft class automatically. I understand you can get it from NCAA and it would take away their money but come on, thats bologna!

I like how you put it but i still want to see like late round gems sorta like Tom Brady and maybe have a pool of undrafted free agents that could be a Future pro bowler (James Harrison) or one that doesn't amount to anything at all. The only problem I see with that is that there would be way to many of those gems maybe like 3-4 at most in a class? It would also be cool if it could be implemented in the Ncaa Class also.

when you transfer ncaa draft into Madden are there going to be those late round gems? or everyone late in the draft just completely suck with F potentials? it would be cool if you get a guy in the 6th round with the ovrall low but potential high

i love that you can pick good players late in offline franchise but in online during the draft the ratings are there for you to see the only thing you dont see is the potential rating basically the last couple rounds your just picking someone thats like a 50overall that will be cut as soon as the league advances

it has nothing to do with money. It is called the NCAA won't allow it. Just like technically you arent allowed to put real players names in the game. Their likeness is owned by the NCAA.

yeah the progression system is very screwed up even more so with online franchise cause your not going to get the stats you normally would esp on defense with tackles

30 Brand New Draft Classes featuring Realistic Player Profiles

We created 30 brand new draft classes from scratch and added a new twist this year.

We’ve created player profiles (scrambling QB, 3-4 DE, power HB, speed WR) that are mixed in with the random guys so that you’ll find players that fit your offensive/defensive scheme and provide a more realistic experience.

Teams in the draft have a preference toward those players and will lean towards drafting them if they have the chance. That means the Raiders will draft a Speed WR if given the choice between him and a possession WR.

We’ve also randomized names and numbers this year so that you won’t recognize individual players each time you start a new franchise.
They did. This is from the Franchise blog, I'm going to use the handmade classes, but I know that a lot people here will use the NCAA classes, because they have to have real players.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
