Amazon finally comes through with a $20 credit for pre-orders

I've been holding out for a few weeks hoping they'd come through, especially since the early release options are dried up this year for me.

I'm not sure how the 'pre order price guarantee' works for those who ordered earlier, since technically this isn't a price reduction. I guess you could always ask via support, cancel & reorder if necessary.

Yup, I was holding out hope that they'd try to boost sales right at the end.

Plus KMart just added a $20 store credit offer a day or two ago, so perhaps they're matching it.

Me too. Just pre-ordered. I was going to get the game from Best Buy because I have a $25 gift card for there, but Free Shipping and $20 bucks off makes it worth it not to have to drive 10 miles to the Best Buy closest to me.

Ugh I was going to hold off on this game because I'm trying to save money but with Amazon taking off $20 bucks & free release day shipping I had no choice but to order it. Touche Amazon Touche.

This was the exact case for me. I figured i would wait for a patch or two to drop first and the game would be a bit cheaper then. But with $20 in credit, it was hard to not jump at that now especially when Amazon tends to have good sell back prices on video games.

UGH. Now I have to decide to get it early or go with the pre-order bonus.

That $20 is hard to turn down especially considering I probably won't play the game much until the rosters are released.

The other thing to consider is whether a friend is getting it at gamestop.

For me, the OSU alternates are the only interesting jersey in the gamestop set, and I have one gamestop preordering friend in each online dynasty that can start the leagues for us, removing the compulsion to shop with them.

I feel like I've waited so long and I can't wait anymore. I'm still picking mine up at midnight. If getting the PCs is what bothers you, I know that you can buy them at some point later and it will be less than $20
