Have you ever had one of those games where you just can't miss?

I just had the most ridiculous game ever. I was feeling tired and lazy and I just wanted to play a mindless game so I chose to be the Heat against the Hornets, and what happened next was the most unbelievable game I've ever had. I play 7 minute quarters (48 minutes is just too long for me), shotstick timing, a good set of sliders that usually gives pretty realistic stats (i.e. 45-52 FG%). Here's a rundown of how the game finished:

Heat: 106 Hornets: 64 (I usually get about 55-65 points per game with 7 min quarters)
    FG%: 75%!!! (45/60)
    3P%: 68% (11/16)

    Best players:
Lebron James: 37pts with 17/19 shooting. That's right, he shot the ball 19 times and made 17 of them, unbelievable.
    D.Wade: 24pts with 10/15 shooting
    Chris Bosh: 13pts 6/6 shooting
Mike Bibby: 12pts 4/5 shooting (so he made 80% of his 3s lol)

Have you ever had a game like this or better? What team and who was the mvp for the game? Lebron 17 of 19 shooting, I can't get over that lol.

I remember playing a crew game with my PG (saved over him by accident R.I.P) and I went 19/20 in the game with 40 or so points. The crazy thing was that i wasn't even goin to the rack like that. The majority of my shots were 3's and Mid range jumpers and i didn't miss til the 4th quarter. I did take smart shots tho.

Nice stats, I guess once in a blue moon you get those crazy games. But the thing is is that it's not completely ridiculous in that it has happened in real life, like for instance Dirk Nowitski against the Thunder in game 1 (12/15 shooting + 24 straight free throws).

LOL, when I read the title of this thread, I thought you were talking about real life. I was like, "Yeah, I've had a few of those games back in the day (in my teens and twenties)".

Actually happened today for me. I was the Nuggets against the Bulls at home. My team didnt seem to care that they were playing a top 3 defense. Nene was lighting Noah up in the post and Gallinari was hitting all kinds of ridiculous shots.

Finished the game shooting 66% and hitting 7/8 threes. The Bulls finished at 53%, only because of Luol Deng who had 34 points (6 minute quarters).

I didnt have a real player of the game; my style is to get balanced scoring rather than focus on getting the ball to one or two guys. But it was awesome how I just lit up the Bulls all of a sudden.

Funny, yesterday Boobie Gibson went 7-8 from downtown in the first half and finished with 31 points on 9-12 in 3-point shooting.

Funny story, my best game ever shooting was with Hornets in My Player against the Heat o.o. I was coming off screens and getting fed by CP3 all day, went 32/34 and 14/15 from 3, 80 points individually, it was one of those games where the third quarter rolled around and I thought to myself, I should probably stop shooting, but with how hot I was I can't think of one coach that would tell you stop shooting.

in my player I had one it broke wilt chamberlains record i had 114 points that game cause i was on the raptors so my team wasnt gonna do crap so i had to do everything.

                    points 114
                    assists 5
                    rebounds 2
                    fg 50/62 OR 80.6%
3 pt % 19/25 OR 76% (yes i was on fire from the 3 pt line made 57 of my points from there. however i have had a higher 3 pt percentage before had one game where i shot 11-11 from the 3 pt line but i didnt score this much that game)
steals 2 (but i had a lot more where i tipped the pass and a teammatecaught the tipped pass)
                    blocks 5

This was one of the best games for me. it was against sacramento and we went hardcore on their butts.

                    Final score 143-76

Interesting timing for this topic, since I had such a game yesterday with 2000 Reggie Miller. He scored 64 points, setting personal 2K11 bests for Most Points, Most Points in a quarter (23), Most Points in a Half (36), and most ridiculously, Most Three Pointers (14).

A part of me didn't want to save my profile because some of those stats were just too ridiculous.

I had one game where I went 12/13 from 3pt with Morrow. He finished the game with 47.

I once played a game where Jamal Crawford went 7-10 from 3pt. And another where Marvin Williams (!!!) scored 40. Needless to say I never got close to that ever again with him. Saved over that association by accident. Daaaamn. And once playing against the Nets Lopez went something like 20/21. Actually might have been better than that. I know that he only missed one damn shot.

As a team I haven't been lights out to any big extreme.

The very last game of the Jordan Challenge for me ('91 Lakers Finals) I shot 24-25 from the floor with MJ, it was absurd. At that point, having played so many games with MJ and knowing exactly how to use him, it was unfair. The only shot I missed was from the far baseline where I thought I had a good angle but didn't and I shot the high-arching "I'm behind the backboard" shot. That was the only miss.

In Yr 1 of my Assoc I had 74 with Melo in an opening round game vs Orlando, I was in the vicinity of 25-32 from the floor with 8 threes and a buncha FTs. They made a bunch of trades and besides Duhwight their defense was awful. Turkoglu and Vince were the two main defenders for Melo, it was a joke. I averaged 47 ppg in the series with Melo and swept the Magic. I thought I was going to have to adjust my sliders or something, then I lost the first two games of the next round vs Indiana (who upset the Heat!). I won the next four games to advance but Melo was human again.

I actually had a game sorta like this, I was playing an association game against one of my roommates because playing the comp isn't ever really much of a challenge, I also play 7 minute quarters, and for some reason my last scoring option as a starter, Xavier Henry, went off and hit 14 3's.. Breaking the NBA record of 12 in a game, it was ridiculous, don't remember his fg% or 3% but he didn't miss many 3s... Tried again the next game and could only make 2, idk what his deal was lol
