    Pitchers learning new pitches

So in previous baseball games and even 2K baseball games I believe, pitchers could learn new pitches depending on if the pitching coach is good, how many pitches they already have in their repertoire and their age. I see that pitching coaches have a teaching rating, but do they teach your pitchers new pitches. Im in year 3 of my franchise and none of my pitchers have learned new pitches. I got the best pitching coach available before I even started year 1.

so, has anyone had a pitcher learn a new pitch? Is it even in this years game?

I recall that from 2k10 yeah, and I havent had it happen to me yet this year, I am so done with every sports games progression system that I just do it myself. Like in my franchise Jeff Samardzija pitched 6-2 for me after a year, which is excellent for a 68 ovrll pitcher, so I raised him to a 73 and added a pitch myself

Who is the best pitching coach in your opinion?

IRL it's Dave Duncan from the Cardinals. Not sure who is rated the highest in the game though.

Yep, his only competition ever was Leo Mazzone when he coached for Atlanta.

I let Bryan Price go because his teaching was like in the 40s or 50s. I picked up the best guy available before ST even started in year one. I think his teaching is like a mid 70s.

Does it really mean anything in the game who is your pitching coach?
