BAD Manager!! No!! Go to Time Out!!

So if anyone is wondering if pitch counts matter, here's my sad tale.

Jair Jurgens working on a 3-hit shutout in the 8th inning against the Brewers. I check his pitch count, and it's at 88. His pitch count range is 68-79. Getting greedy, I keep him in, REEEEAAALLY wanting him to get this complete game shutout.

Next pitch? He snaps his forearm. On the shelf for 4-6 weeks.

Learn from my mistakes - don't get greedy.

You may want to increase his stamina rating to be in line with his real life counterpart. His Pit/GS (Pitches per Game Started) over his career is 94. His pitch count range in the game should be about 85-96.

      Not a bad idea.

Either way, I thought that was interesting. I was channeling Dusty Baker.

Only question remains, did you have a toothpick in your mouth?

Also, remember to use mound visits to increase stamina. I had Lohse pitch a CG SHO against the D-Backs, and there's no way he would have made it without mound visits in the 7th, 8th, & 9th.

In another game, I tried to hold off on these mound visits with Wainwright, but he had to leave in the 7th with an elbow injury. It ended up only being elbow stiffness and he shouldn't miss his next start.

All of these situations are very cool and extremely fun IMO!!
