NHL 12 Sound Pack (Need your help)

I have started work on next years sound pack for NHL 12. This time I want to make sure that every team gets some love in terms of team specific chants / off play / etc.

What I want to do with this sound pack is get help from EVERYBODY. Other sound pack makers can help out and we can combine for an awesome pack. I also need people who follow their favorite teams to post about any team specific chants or anything else interesting.

I will be including brand new intermission and Off play sounds, Updated goal horns and songs for NHL, AHL, and CHL. More penalty and powerplay sounds. Possibly team specific if I get enough help. Away goal. Much much more.

Here is some of the jobs/responsiblities

Labeler: The job of the labeler would be to label the songs so that they are easy to transfer to PS3 and XBOX360.

Sound Pack Makers: (The guys who have made sound packs before)

Team Specific Researchers: Anyone can sign up for this. Your job is to go to games or provide information about your teams events/sounds. You CAN have multiple signups per team. I need at least 1 for every NHL, AHL, and CHL team. European teams would help too.

    Plans for this sound pack

    Off play and Intermission

I will take all of the off play and intermission songs and combine them. It will come out to 1000 songs of BIP and 1000 songs of intermission. Then I am going to have 1000 30 second clips and 1000 75 second clips. The reason I am going to do this is because I know some people like BIP songs to be as long as intermission and vice versa. This would give everyone more options. We all like more options.

Also, albums are going to be used instead of playlists. This ensures that you can have more than 512 songs in 1 file.

Lastly, I am going to add NEW off play and intermission songs. By the time I am finished, we should have 500 new off play and 500 new intermission. Add that to the old files and you have over 1000 different sound files EACH for intermission and off play. You will have 1000 different 30 second clips and 1000 different 75 second clips.

That's just off play and intermission. There is much more that is going to be added for the NHL 12 pack. Stay tuned.

    NHL Team Specific Packs

This is something that I wanted to do for NHL 11. However, I ran out of time. My goal for the NHL 12 pack is for each team to have their own pack that includes any team specific chants, goal horns, goal songs, pk, pp, away goal, away win, home win, star goals, etc etc... This is why I need your help as well. If you go to games, try to pay attention to some of that. I have also recieved feedback from some teams media relations department regarding this. However, I always strive for more depth.

If you want to get involved with next years pack, please PM me and we will discuss. If it takes 30-40 team members, then that is fine. I was thinking about having team captains

    New sounds and corrections

In addition to the above, I plan on adding more new sounds and making upgrades and corrections. One example of this is that I am completely re-doing the NHL team intros to be much more accurate. That is just ONE example. There is much more than that and I will post more information soon.

Awesome! Love your work. but i have one thing i'd like to tell you and any pack makers about the pens goal horn. you have the right song and the right amount of blasts but it doesn't sound quite right. i've been to Consol, it sounds different than on anyone's packs. Watch a clip from a game on youtube and listen to the horn. take this clip and extract the horn and boost it to 106 or 108 dbs. just trying to get word around. PM the horn if you can do this now. i just am trying to help make your pack the ultimate one. Thanks.

Well, might aswell start now. Since my copy of NHL 11 got scratched, I'm relagated to playing NHL 10 again these days, so I'd be honored to help out in any way possible (being a pack maker in the past and such). All I'd need is the tracklists from the researchers.

HMP, here's a clip you can use to extract the penguins horn. it's the first goal at Consol Energy Center. Horn blasts about ten seconds in.

For the Calgary Flames, you need to add AC/DC's Shot Down in Flames to play after they score a goal and Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire to play when they win a game.

For intermission, should I continue to use 60 seconds or should I do 75 or 90?

              75. Oh, and I'm re-doing all of the goal songs (with their horns attachted). I even have Calgary's mix of shot down in flames (haven't seen the actual one they're using this season in the packs).

HMP, I would be honored to help you out with next year's pack. I'm a huge Sabres fan & I'm interested in game presentation as a career, so I'll take anything Buffalo Sabres-related.

I think you would have an easier time getting song info from hfboards dotcom and going to each teams section and asking there. I've never downloaded and installed a sound pack, but good luck. I might even try to install it if it's accurate and not too hard to do.
