    I Love This Game...Again

So I played this game a ton last year and loved it a lot. With Deadlycane's amazing sliders, with a few edits myself and a ton of roster edits (more along the lines of accessories and body size than ratings) this game really resembled NCAA Basketball to me.

I played it untill late May, early June and then put it on the shelf and didn't play it much, until now. Now that the College Football season and NFl season is pretty much over with the exception of the Super Bowl it is time for the NBA and NCAA Basketball. So I picked this game back up and made a few more edits and I am in love with this game all over again. The gameplay is so much more smooth and fluent compared to 2K8's. Don't get me wrong I played 2K8 from 2007 up until when NCAA 10 came out and am a huge 2k fan.
But I just love how this game plays. Anyone else out there that feels like this is the best on the court representation of college basketball yet? Any thoughts are welcome.

Can you share those sliders? Does the AI shoot 3s consistently?

      Re: I Love This Game...Again

I picked this game up yesterday for 15 bucks and am having a lot of fun with it. I'm not the biggest basketball buff and I'll admit my basketball IQ is pretty low so I'm really bad at the game but I'm learning as I go and having a lot of fun with it. I play on varsity right now and still have trouble beating some teams but I'm sure I'll get better. The presentation is amazing and everything seems to run very smooth.

I picked this up last night and have had fun with it. I am using Authentics sliders which is making it very challenging. THe drop it in the post still exists but doesnt seem as often as I remembered it. This will keep me busy til MLB the show arrives

                  Thanks for the feedback guys!

And I just played another great game in my Dynasty with St. Johns. Year 6 with a lot of expectations, being ranked number 2 to start the year but we started out 12-7 before going into #6 ranked Georgetown who was 18-1 (6-0).

We were falling victim to their slow, halfcourt offense and fell down 41-26 at the beginning of the second half. Came back from 15 down and eventually grabbed the lead 53-52 with a little over 2 minutes left. We went on to win 68-58 and improved to 13-7. I am loving this game.

To get the CPU to take 3's you need to edit player ratings. Once you do that then they will throw them up like crazy. Last year I was using Cane's roster (Ps3) and this was no longer an issue.

Right, if players cant shoot them they want. Instead of ratings, a 3pt slider increase may work also. But, you will have to check it to make sure.

Just played a game on All-Conference (18 min. halves) using the newest OS Sliders. I made some heavy edits to my team, St. Joe's, as well as the team they just played, UMASS. The results from the game were outstanding and I must say it's the most fun I've had playing a video game since The Show last year. I kid you not, UMASS did not throw the ball into the post one time. I upped some of the three-point ratings for UMASS which helped a ton along with some other edits here and there. For anyone interested, here are the stats. UMASS led most of the way including a 56-47 lead with 3:00 to go, but I hit a couple of threes including one with 3.2 secs left to pull out the win...

Yea, i've played NBA 2k11, it's a pretty damn good game, it's damn near excellent. Then i played this game, and it isn't that bad, if EA could have kept the game, it could have been even better, what happened EA? Anyway, it's pretty good, i was shocked at how good it can be, still needs some work though.

I decided to put this game back in and fire up a new dynasty with my roster edits from last year and remembered just how much fun this game was. Sure it has it flaws but it is fun. I got sick of NBA2k11 and the lack of charges and mid and long range shooting fouls plus lack of off reb. I also was not happy with the sim stats either with NBA 2k11. hopefully when rashidi's roster edits are done i can enjoy that game but for now i am back to this game.

You guys are all making me want to pick this game up again. I loved it when I had it, of course it has it's flaws but it's still a very fun game. I dug out my CH2K8 to get my college basketball fix, and the gameplay just doesn't do it for me. Time to go find myself a copy of this game again.
