    editing roster w/ hex editor?

I was wondering if anybody has tried to edit a roster for this yrs 2k11 with hex editor. I tried to edit some of the arena name that i could find " Boston Arena" to TD GArden and "Knick arenas" to MSG. This just the name when pre game presentation starts not on the court to get me wrong. But when i get it back on my xbox it states its not right and wont load it. I know people edit there my player ratings and then load it. And it works with 8 ft players. But i just want to rename teams and buildings.

Any help would be great also i am using " Hex Workshop Hex Editior".
This is for the 360 only!!!!!!

You might have to resign the roster file after you edit it. There is a program called Modio that allows you to do this pretty easily, should be able to find it with a quick google search.

Can you find a way to change the names of the fake coaches in assosiation?

Google "rehashing & resigning". I'm using a crappy internet browser and can't post links. It's basically something you have to do to get the saves working properly.

thanks i found out what you meant. I did a small test for a run and i was able to edit some parts of the text on the arena names. Just keep the position of the name intact. Know going to try to see if can do it the why I want. Right know i have knicks arena as " M.S.G.s arena".

Wonder what would happen i spaced the words out... Has any body tried this before?

I agree. Shorts length has probably been my #1 wish for the past 5 or so years. I don't understand why its not an option anymore. Unlimited CAPs would be great also.

I am not really looking for that just editing lame arena name's example Sonics Arena now Key Arena, Also give real name to created team arenas. Also renaming New orleans hornets in your 88-89 file to Charlotte Hornets ex.

How the heck did you even begin to understand what all of this means?

Also, can you get banned for doing any of this?

I have no interest in upgrading My Player, but I would like to try to unlock all the Jordans or something like that. Also wouldn't mind being able to change stadium names. Mind telling me what hex you are editing to change the stadium names?

if you scroll all the way down and start going up you can see all the text on the right side. You cant get banned for changing name or text . I am not hacking the my player. Best thing to do is go to the bottom and then start scrolling up. you find name of player coach, city , schools. The rest i dont know what the hell it means.

So they won't ban you for just changing arena names?

And are you editing the roster file or what to do this?

yea they wont because you have to do it to what ever save you use. I started because of porlandblazers 88-89 file. Just extract the file , the file from your hddrive or mem card or flash drive. pull the file into your hex editor tool. And there you go.
