The Coaching Career of Dalton Henry

    Breaking News
MSU Coach Mark Dantonio has officially stepped down from coaching the Spartans. When asked why he replied "I want to spend time with my family." Replacing him will be 31 year old Dalton Henry, who was an All-State QB in High School. He knows it will not be an easy task to coach this great MSU team. "I'm honored to be here. I'll try my hardest to continue the success of this great team." Will he be able to? We'll find out.

      Spartans Dominate FCS Northwest

The Spartans completely killed the FCS Northwest with a score of 77-7. HB Kody Brown was named MVP, he ran for 136 yds and 2 TDs on only 12 attempts. He also had 4 receptions for 102 yards and 2 TDs. Coach Henry referred to this as "practice" and that "we will keep using the Spread offense for the remainder of the season". Next week the Spartans will face the rough 1-0 Air Force squad.

            Double OT with Auburn

The game of the week goes to MSU and Auburn. Couch Dalton Henry says QB Jared Washington had a "B+" game. He threw for 199 yds and 2 touchdowns, but also had his 1st interception. On the ground, Kody Brown couldnt get anything going. WR Antonio Bush had a monster game, having 6 receptions for 134 yds and 2 TDs. This came down to double OT. In the 2nd OT, Auburn missed a field goal. Then Washington hit Bush on a slant for a 25 yard TD for the win. Great game

            Post Game Comments
Coach Henry- We did good, not great. We shouldn't go into double OT and think we did great
Jared Washington- I didnt do that good, I know. We should have been more productive with our running game, and our entire offense

                    MSU Upsets Wisconsin!

                    [

Michigan St. goes to 4-0 after a huge upset over Wisconsin. This definitely put a lot more confidence in MSU after their double OT win vs Auburn. Qb Jared Washington was knocked out for 2 quarters, which led to backup Jay Jones throwing 2 TD's, but also 2 INT's. The Badgers couldn't get anything going on the ground or the air. They ran for 43 yds and passed for only 123 yds

                    Post-Game Comments
Coach Henry- We played great. 'Nuff said
QB Jay Jones- I had to step up when he (Washington) went down. I tried. I made some mistakes, but also made some great players

Michigan is expected to annihilate MSU. Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit both picked Michigan over MSU, so did 44 states. All eyes will be on MSU QB Jared Washington, who will have to avoid Michigan star DE David Daniels. All-around, everyone knows this will be a great game. The Wolverines are surprisingly 2-2, while the Spartans are 4-0. Coach Henry said in a press conference "Now my whole team knows this will be our biggest test of the year, but right now all we are trying to do is get into a bowl game."

MSU Wins the Paul Bunyan Trophy

What a game! It came down to the final play. MSU QB Jared Washington got hurt and left for the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Then HB Kody Brown broke his collarbone, so he'll have to miss 5 weeks. At half, MSU led 17-7. Then Michigan scored late in the 3rd. MSU came on the field just running out the clock. In the 4th, it was 3rd and long, then Jared Washington threw a pick, returned for about 30 yards. This fortunately led to a punt. On the next MSU Possession, Washington and backup HB Thomas Hackett ran an option. A Wolverine got in between and broke it up and returned it to the 4. The MSU defense held them to a field goal. 21-17. With 3:11 left in the game, Washington threw ANOTHER interception, Michigan marched down the field, On 3rd and 15, Michigan QB Curtis Newton threw a bullet to WR Jamil McDuffie, but only for 14 yards. So then Michigan brought out there FG unit, but the kicker hit the uprights! So at there own 23, MSU had to work down the field with no timeouts. After some completions, Michigan St. faced a 4th and 5 at the Michigan 40. It was complete, but the receiver couldn't get out of bounds. Now with only 10 seconds MSU had a nice 10 yard completion that went out of bounds. Now there's 4 seconds left. Washington drops back, sees Maurice Butler in the endzone.. Touchdown!!!! "MSU wins MSU wins!! They pull off another upset!!!"
