Does using real free throw % negate human and cpu shooting sliders

Does anyone know how it relates to sliders, does it make them irrelevant. Does your release matter at all?

I tried turning the sliders all the way down on real fg and no one made a shot.

Sliders do matter for real player %. The lower the sliders, the lower the percentages.

        Yes right.
Also, Slidervalues are not the same as FG%, i.e. Slider for 3Pt-Shooting @ 35 doesnt mean that players they shoot open 3´s hit around 35% of them.
All is a gamble between playerratings and sliders. In my opinion, Real Field Goal percentage simple means that timing on jumpshots is not neccessary for the human player.

I was about to ask a similar question about field goal %'s. Does the realistic setting take away some element of user control ?

It is not the primary factor but I believe it still plays a role. Try just flicking your stick (jump shots not post play) instead of pulling it down and timing the release.

Bet you will brick more shots than hit them.

Maybe I am wrong. But it sure feels right to still time your release with real % on.

I agree despite the explanation from 2k on this.

On free throws...no effect, though I did the button press or I flicked the stick and it did not matter. But on jump shots, like I said it sure feels like it matters. Maybe it is placebo, who knows?

I went to shot stick for 3 games and once you nail the release to me it becomes un-sim like. I was dropping shots with ease and scoring much higher. I think it is a blast (shot stick) but in my Association I am trying to recreate as close as I can, the NBA experience statistic and gameplay wise. I feel Real % works better for that.

If you want to control the outcome first and foremost shot stick is obviously the way to go. Both are great options. It's all personal preference and both are not right or wrong. It's your game. Play it the way you want.

Well said, I like the way Real fg % feels and plays out, much more of a sim feel and you still have to have a good release.
