High Layups are in for the PS3!

LOL! What the hell is this, 2K? Treating the PS3 users like a redheaded stepchild for real? Sorry, this might be better suited for the Impressions Thread, but I think this deserves its own thread and serious attention from the 2K devs.

So I got an early copy of the game for the Xbox 360 through my friend. Everything looks great (as you all now know), and I decided to order 3 copies for the PS3 for myself and my kids (they don't have a 360) so that we can play online. I always get at least 3 copies for the PS3 in past years. But this year... wth is this?! I'm so pissed right now I want to return all 3 copies! This has got to be an older build for the PS3 because the high banking layups are there. Every effing layups! WTH?! Why am I paying the same price for a totally inferior product? The PS3 looks noticeably worse than the 360 and gameplay is noticeably different too! Unbelievable. I just hope Walmart will let me get total refund on at least the 2 copies that I haven't opened yet.

I want an answer from any of the 2K devs in here. Why are the PS3 users getting an old build of the game?

I spent $240. I think I have the right to ask a legitimately fair question, albeit in a bit of an angry tone.

Of course he knew high layups would be in before he bought the game, especially since Beluba said a lead engineer already addressed this issue.

There's no fault on my part. I felt duped. I bought the 360 version early. Loved the game. One would reasonably expect the game to be very much the same as on the PS3 (maybe slightly different in graphics), but to get an older build of the game? Come on, you seriously can't tell me you wouldn't be pissed if you were in my shoes? I bought 3 copies. Three copies for $180 of an inferior product! It's a great game, no doubt. It's not about whether the game is still good enough and worth the money. That's not the point. The point is I shouldn't be getting a totally inferior product when it is expected that the product would not be inferior.

If 2K had come out and said that the PS3 version is not the 360's equal or that is the common knowledge, then yes it would be my fault for unrealistic expectation. But that clearly is not the case, is it?

We need feedback from 2K on this pronto. I've played the 360 version and my PS3 copy arrives friday (europe), and Im gonna feel duped if 2K doesn't fix this...

Come on Beluba said that it was fixed before the game was shipped and the xbox guys can confirm this so why do we have to pay the same price for a lesser game?

Yes this is not a game breaker and the graphical issues are not game breakers but its not about that. Issues like this says a lot about how they treat ps3 users and wht's worse is that Beluba said this is not hard to fix at all (I'm not blaming him but I don't know who to blame and not this is not sony's fault).

But what's done is done but I hope we can get the patch earlier since you OWE US big time.

No, I did not buy it to show an appreciation for the game. I bought it so that my kids and I could play online together. I had an earlier copy of the game on the 360, and thought it looked and played great. Naturally, I expected pretty much the PS3 to be the same as the 360. So went went ahead and ordered 3 copies for the PS3.

As a poster above pointed out, one of the 2K devs had already said the high banking layups were already addressed. I had assumed that was for both the 360 and the PS3. My fault for being misled? I don't think so.

Ahhhh I see. I apologize for my ignorance in my previous post, I did not know the situation in which this was the case.
Now I feel bad.

The sad part here is that they are not acknowledging the ps3 issueS. A "We are sorry because we did not have enough time to fix both platforms" could do a lot but they chose to be silent.
