    Team to begin Association?

As a relatively newbie to the NBA I would quite like some ideas as a good team to begin an assocation with. I enjoy taking teams with a solid core of young players that are not excelling as of yet, and look to turn them into champions. Just wondering what sort of teams fit that mould this year? Thanks in advance.

I would say OKC... they've got a young core with talent, and a superstar in Kevin Durant. I feel they're just one player or so away from being legitimate contenders.

Also check out this thread. Several dudes list who they're running with, you might get a few ideas from there.

    Hope this helps

Don't run with the Heat. I can promise you that will get boring fast.

I like to go with a team aiming for 8th to 4th seed, if not, the high end of the lottery. (Rockets, Bucks, Suns, Grizzlies etc.)

Bulls and you are trying to land CP3??? Not very realistic... and please dont say D can move to the 2 because that would never happen in real life.

But anyway Im running with the Pacers, perfect team gunning for an 8 seed for me.

I'd say OKC as well, if you can draft a good C and get a 3-pt. specialist they can win games.

I traded a few draft picks and players to the Pacers for this Center (Hibbert?) because they had him on the trade block. He's like 7'1 and has great blocking and rebounding, which is all I have my C's do. I just improved his passing and ball handling in the next two offseasons so he could hold onto the ball better after getting offensive rebounds.

I'm going to start my first NBA 2k11 Association with my Cleveland Cavs and try to build them back up again into a championship contender franchise. Heck, and maybe even get LBJ back on the team in another 5 seasons!!!

                            Re: Team to begin Association?

Every year I use the Celtics because I'm a big C's fan. This year, with the crowd dynamics and everything, I'm thinking a team that isn't a big club. Someone like Charlotte or Memphis will probably be my team this year. I like taking a bad team and making them an elite club.
