I usually don't get excited for the new season unless there's a good guest. It's been awhile for me to watch it every week like when Will Ferrell was in it.

But one of my favorite comedians was signed on; Jay Pharoah. His impressions are amazing from Jay-Z, Will Smith, Denzel, Eddie Murphy and he's going to eventually replace Fred as Obama. I honestly think he's going to be the next great SNL cast member.

Tonight will be Amy Poehler and Katy Perry.

That behind the scenes with Denzel and Will gets me every time. He's on point with those two. Looking forward to see how he pans out on the show.

Yeah season premiere is tonight. I don't know if Jay will get a lot of skits at first like most rookies but I'm sure he'll eventually be part of the main group with so many impressions. Especially that he does Obama way better than Fred Amesian.

Decent episode. I don't really like Amy Poehler's characters at all though so I could have done without them. I hope to see more of this Jay Pharoah. Dude is going to be funny as hell once he gets comfortable and gets his feet wet.

JT makes some awkward cameos on SNL now. I like the guy, but why is he there?

Don't like Amy Poehler. Never found her funny and still don't. Having her open kinda feels like SNL couldn't find anyone else.

Nothing laugh out loud funny last night. Amusing stuff, though. I still enjoy watching SNL, but I only laughed when the real David Paterson came out and said: "You guys poke so much fun at me being blind, I forgot I was black."

Apart from Kanye that was a pretty terrible SNL. No disrespect to them but Amy Poehler and Bryan Cranston as your first 2 hosts to start the season? I'd rather see Alec Baldwin or Steve Martin host for the umpteenth time.
