How Will You Run Your Offline Dynasty?

I will be having a dynasty with Eastern Michigan and they will go through a complete change

    1) Just play through a season a see what im dealing with.
    2) Recruit, recruit, recruit. Im shifting to a 3-4, i want my defense to be relentless so hard hitting safeties and fast athletic LBs are a must. I will either run the pistol or the run and shoot. Either way, im getting a scrambling QB, he will be the playmaker, my team is gonna either live or die by him.
    3) If 1,2 fails, im running back to PSU lol

i'll be playing with wisconsin, love their style of play, running the ball down everyones throat with John Clay, recruit big bad HB's just like him with exceptional linemen, basically continue what the program is best at lol

What I always do, play with Tech for 7-10 years then switch to bottom teams and build them up to top teams. I got to 50 years total last year (10 with one and 40 with another) and this year plan on finishing the entire thing out.

Re: How Will You Run Your Offline Dynasty?

I'm doing mine with the Washington Huskies. First thing's first, I need to try to get Locker his Heisman. He has some talented weapons surrounding him in WR's Jermaine Kearse, James Johnson and Devin Aguilar. Chris Polk gained 1,100+ yards last year so the running game should do well also.

Recruiting wise; it's all about building up the lines. An average offensive line won't get the job done, so I'm going to target some talented offensive linemen early on. I'll probably look to California to see who's out there, but I'll probably look for some 4* recruits and any 5* recruits that show even a slight bit of interest in the program. Next I'll look to defensive line and do the same.

Defense is Washington's weakest link, though some talented players were brought in last year (Sean Parker, Sione Potaoe and a few others) but I need to keep building.

With Locker graduating, I'll need to recruit a couple more QB's, as Nick Montana and Keith Price are the only other QB's on the roster - both young and inexperienced.

I usually only target 5* recruits if they have an interest in me. Sometimes I'll take a chance and go out and try hard to land some, but they have to be in the pipeline states.

Washington, IMO, is on the way back up so I just need to keep building on that.

One thing I always do is create real life prospects - it's something I've done for a few years now. Especially the guys who Washington has already gotten verbals from... I like to keep recruiting pretty realistic.

Re: How Will You Run Your Offline Dynasty?

I will be using Michigan for my offline dynasty as usual.

I'm not a fan of the spread and long for the days of smashmouth pro-style football in Ann Arbor. (I swear it feels like an eternity ago) So I will begin to transition in talent that caters to that style. i.e. - larger o-lineman, pocket qb's, rb's who can carry the ball 20 times a game.

I'll stick with the spread while we have the players to pull it off, but I'm hoping that by year 3 or 4 I can switch us back to the Wolverines I know and love.

I am so excited for this game! Gonna be a long couple days at work coming up here.

Gonna do one with my Auburn Tigers of course and then another with a 3 star team and try to make them into a 6 star team.

I'm not sure who I'm taking yet, either Tulane or Central Michigan, but I will be implementing a triple option offense

Re: How Will You Run Your Offline Dynasty?

Usually, I do a dynasty with Auburn. However, this year I want to rebuild a program, since a lot of people on here seem to be doing so as well. I have chosen UL Lafayette, since they are in the Southeast (recruiting), and because they run the Spread Offense which I love. I'll do my best to build them up and make them the dominant force in the Sun Belt, or to get an invitation to a bigger conference like the SEC or ACC. After I build them up, I will try to land a job at a bigger program, preferably Auburn.

Re: How Will You Run Your Offline Dynasty?

I've been playing one at the office for the last month or two (I think I'm in year 2058).

I created the "Texas Conference" where I took all 10 teams in Texas and swapped them into the Pac 10. What I do is I play with a team (started as Texas Tech) and lead them to a championship. When they win the BCS title, I quit the job and take one with the worst team in the conference.

Obviously I'm simming most games. It is more of a test of recruiting. I'll go in-game when there is a work reason to play a game.

So far I have won with Texas Tech, Rice, and Baylor. I'm thinking I can get Houston a title by the end, but not sure yet! It is VERY challenging.

That's a cool idea. I used to do that on Madden before they made it so you couldn't change teams in Franchise.

I'll use VT like I always do. I'll probably redshirt Darren Evans and try to get Ryan Williams the Heisman. Tech pounds the rock, so I'll stay true to that style. With this years iteration, it seems like running the ball will be far more rewarding.

I will be running with Michigan State. I never played as them before but they fit the best to what I was looking for. I wanted an ok team with not a great prestige rating (3 stars). I like the pro style offense and since i play mostly as the middle linebacker on defense I wanted a team with a good one and they have Greg Jones who is arguably the best middle linebacker in the nation. The only thing I wish they were was a 3-4 defense but ill survive with the 4-3.

When it comes to recruiting I am not too picky at who I recruit. I just find players who are interested and try to recruit them. When recruiting a middle linebacker I do look for speed so I can run sideline to sideline better. I usually recruit scrambling QB's but since they run a pro style offense I will most likely look for more pocket passers unless a scrambling QB is really interested in me.

                            I cant wait.

Always start with my Iowa State running the offense implemented by Coach Herman. I know it's a video game, but it allows me to get a good feel on how the season may go, skill set of players in the system and gets me pumped for the season.

After I win the NC I quite and take a 1 star team and build. Hoping for a better coaching ladder, I will build up the teams and work my way up to the top tier school, hopefully having to take a couple jobs before that point - otherwise I'll just build the 1 star school all the way.

I was excited by the RnS this year, but appears is still limited on option plays, so I'm looking at a mix of either spread option with RnS style, or Pistol. I think I've had my share of Triple Option that I'm ready for something new.
