I think ncaa is slowly getting cheeser friendly. In the last yr 90%, of the users i play go straight for the aggresive settings and run commit and pass commit. I think those gameplan settings are a mask for a players weaknesses and to help little kids. I think the majority of players are addicted to the jump the snap setting that its rediculous. All those things you can manually do. Its not hard. You just have to know FOOTBALL. Also for the mpst part the mjority of users dont use anything but the DE and rush the edge and use the superman DE exploit. Whatever happen to strategy. Why is it that when you get online you have to set guidelines to play ball. Its bece who can cheese and exploit the best. Ive done the dynasty thing and its cool but setimes you wanna break away and i know thats the risk u take but damn. Is the somebody or some group out there that im missing that show me the way bcuz im SIM but im also a realist and some sim leagues are too strict.

Exactly what I was thinking.
It seems to me that a good bit of threads now are all about cheesy online play. Just find some good Heisman sliders and play the CPU if you want "real football", in my opinion.
This is coming from a guy who gave up on online play in NCAA 08. It's not worth all the frustrations and forum whining.Comment

With the way the game plays I don't think they can make it "sim"...the men stick together on blocks, you have limited control over your player/passes/ect., you're totally dependent on canned animations in split second situations...essentially what I'm saying is these EA footballs regardless of what setting you use aren't any more "sim" than Tecmo Bowl. 20+ years later and we're still waiting for a company to produce a video football game that gives you realistic results and or punishes cheese.... that should tell us something.
Using the DE exploit as an example (as you described)...if you can't run a draw or an inside run and have it really hurt to counter an over aggressive DE (outside rush) move then is saps the fun out of the game. And if there's a way to cheat or cheese people are going to do it... just like in real life (Wall Street, steroids, ect.). Unfortunatly there's no way to patch human cheesiness or stupidity.<O
