Are there home run fireworks at Petco?

Just a quick question, are there fireworks when you hit a home run at Petco (San Diego - Padres)?

I am thinking about starting a franchise and just wanted to make sure Petco had them.

Also, is it still not a home run friendly ballpark or is it on par with the other parks?

Not sure about the fireworks but as far as the home run friendliness, unless I am mistaken I read something that said in real life that stadium is one of the most pitcher friendly ballparks in the league. If that is true then that is how it will play in the game also.

It is still the most extreme pitchers park in the league and I don't think there are fireworks on home runs, but I could be wrong. I remember fireworks causing the field to be filled up with smoke because the wind blew everything back towards the park.

PETCO is by far the friendliest pitchers park in the league. For every 1 run scored in other parks only .741 runs are scored at PETCO. For every MLB home run only .721 are hit at PETCO.

I gave up a home run to the CPU and there were definitely fireworks.

Heh, that's good then if it is.

Maybe I should put a special request for "Stadium specific events" such as smoke hovering over the centerfielder/rightfielder after the fireworks.

If that were the case for stadium-specific events at Petco, we'd also need fog to roll in during the 7th inning of random games during April, May, and June.

Why dont they have fireworks at the Rogers Centre? The roof is always open in this game... so why not have some. And they mos def have them in real life

If the game was made years ago, they could have Marine recruits and Navy recruits yelling back and forth at one another.

Seriously though, the Marines at the park on Sunday are such a signature part of Petco that it really is something they should give consideration to.
