NBA Today Allstar Game.

So did anyone play the NBA Allstar game yesterday in the NBA Today Menu? I played with the West Allstars, and I have to say the presentation that 2K put in NBA Today is great, how the commentators talked about the players, the Valentines day overlays and everything else, great presentation by 2K. As far as the game goes, ironically D.Wade got the MVP in my game as he did in real life. He finished with 31 points and 7 assist, he basically took over the second half of the game against me. He and D. Rose were unstoppable togerther. I had Durant put up 29points and 8 rebs for me and he a halfcourt shot at the buzzard at the end of the 3rd quarter. But the East was just too strong for me, it was interesting to watch how the CPU was playing against me with so many star players on there rosters, with tendencies and everything, the CPU did alot of fastbreaking and trapping on defense. Overall it actually was a very fun game, what are some of your guys experiences yesterday for those who did play the Allstar game yesterday?

OMG I had the same expereince. I had put Dirk starting at SG. And Wade scored like 8 straight points to beginning the game. Isolating Dirk on several trips down the floor. There seem to be a lot of alley oops. I love commentators! I heard something about the all star game and no defense...lol But Kobe not being on the West made a HUGE difference. Wade attacked whoever was guarding him.

I know it wasn't cowboys staduim. Can't really remember. But it didn't matter in my opinion. I'm surprised more people didn't play NBA Today. Some of their comments were really funny. Not the ones about the players. But ones about the All Star game itself.

I also played a friend in a NBA Today game online. We actually played a few times. for fun.

Re: NBA Today Allstar Game.

I played as West AS, and Melo was the MVP (with Durant pretty close). I twicked the sliders before the tip off (i.e. pumping up alley-oops and flashy passes, or lowering help D and commit fouls) and it was a pretty fun high-scoring game.
The commentary was great and there were a couple of lines specific for the ASG (i.e. after a CPU alley-oop Kellog went crazy yelling "the All Star Game is in full effect!!"). The only regret was the poor rotations by the CPU (Dirk didn't start and played only a bunch of minutes)

Re: NBA Today Allstar Game.

If you miss it, you can't play it unless you disconnect your internet connection after downloading the 14th updates. Once in a life time experience on NBA 2k10. Sad.

With this said, they should upgrade on NBA Today next year allowing ppl to replay certain times in the year.. Well i guess it wouldn't really be NBA "Today". But I guess it would be nice to have some kinda setup in the game that allows you to play it.

You would just have to play a season or association mode to play the Allstar game again, but it that allstar game would reflect whats going on in your association/season, instead of the one yesterday in the NBA Today screen that reflected whats going on in the real NBA currently. I'll tell you what the CPU defense got smart after a couple of quarters they were trapping the hell out of some of my players on the wings and when trying to penetrate.
