NBA 2k10 gone blow up in sales

this is my personal belief but IMO i believe 2k10 will reach madden sales numbers and i pulling for 2k10 to surpass madden 10 sales numbers

madden average sales(off the top of my head) is 3 million dollars and 2k10 will be the top selling basketball game of all time

here's why

1. this will give 2k10 1.5 milllion sales automatically. you know what it is OS but ill tell it anyways. they got KOBE BRYANT on the cover and thats actually 1 million worth. the .5 million gone come because he won the championship

2. nba 2k9 sold 2 million all together and it wasnt on the WII or playstation portable. 2k10 will support those and what 2k9 had.

3. that deal that 2k made with china

4. well ITS 2k basketball so you know people are going to buy both live and 2k to judge and compare and i know at least 50,000 people gone do that around the world

i dont know the exact sales i believe 2k10 would hit but im speculating 4 million. start off high and see where it goes

i dont think 2k will pass madden is sales just for the fact that there is another NBA game on the market and Madden is the only NFL game avalible

madden sales dont be that high. its the highest selling sports game but it dont reach 5 million or even 4 million. its floats around 2-3.5 million dollars and madden is on every consoles possible. 2k9 sold two million on 3 consoles and 2k10 is going to be sold on 5 consoles in october.

I personally cant wait. EA might have the most commercials but I spread the word hard about 2k being the force in basketball.

One thing with the Madden comparison that is worth noting... the NFL has zero clout overseas with the exception of wherever they play in London. NFL Europe was sustained there with passive interest for years, and in North America, Canada (Toronto, ON in particular) follows the league, but that's it besides the USA. NBA 2K will be popular in China, as well as the European Union if the company's distribution is that good. NBA 2K9 for PC sold in China, and a lot of the quality PC mods came from people in China.

Having said that, I don't think 2K10 will beat Madden. I do think it will sell well, and its international component beats Madden's, no doubt.

Wow more 2k9 sales than Live. That is AWESOME. Maybe that will make EA step up.

All I know is I am sick and tired of seeing EA promoted everywhere. Glad some ball fans are taking recognition.

I don't care about how much NBA2k10 made. I am not going to be fooled into buying another crappy product from 2K EVER again. I was fooled into buying NBA2K8 because i thought they would play similar like 2K7 with realistic speed ...instead it drags like running on treadmill. I was positive about 2k9 because leading up to the released date, they were talking about how they return to 2k7 speed. But my my my low and behold, the game is crap ONCE AGAIN with it's speed. I am so damm disappointed that i am being fooled into buying both products. They're now in my room collecting dust while i still playing 2K7...that's how much i enjoy 2k7 and how much i miss the improvements.

I think they need to get rid of that dumb *** footplanting or whatever shyt they put in there to make players run slow. So this year, i am not going to get my hope up for 2k10 and i am not going to be fooled into buying another hyped up product again.

It's one thing to try to make the game sim-like and another to rid of the fun factor by reducing the speed of the game. 2K7 has perfect speed without footplanting shyt and the only problem is defense. All they have to do is implement some sort of defense and fix the football pass bugs and some other glitches and it'll be fine. Instead the developers chose to slow everything down because some morons online can't play the game with that speed and don't know how to stop people from dunking.

I complaint about this 2 or 3 years ago. Here i am still complaining. Very disappointing!

Ya no matter how much less live sells than 2k, as shown in this chart 2k still has to split the market share with a competitor unlike madden. Add to that, that football is the bigger sport theres no question 2k will never outsell madden.

Last year Total NBA games market share= 3.5 mil units
Madden market share= 7.25 mil

jus goes to show how strong name brands can be especialy with consumer buzz as bad as madden has been it still doubled all nba games sold

I guess it is a little more possible than the rest of you are making it out to be, seeing as basketball is definitely the more global of the two sports.. and Football is generally restricted to an american audience.

Honestly only thing I here people talk about is 2k10.I'm going to get both if Live is any good.
