Apparently NBA Live is getting the former lead gameplay designer for the NBA 2K games to work on the NBA live gameplay. Will this game be getting the same supposed overhaul that NBA Live is getting in gameplay?

I hope they do. If NCAA Basketball and EA is smart they'll follow the same path they did with NBA Live.

The 2K developers switched sides in 2007 and NCAA borrowed Live's gameplay engine in 09. I'm sure that NCAA and Live will play very similar.

Mike (lead Live Gameplay producer) told me that they looked at some of the things that were done well in NCAA and used it to improve Live. So it sounds like they do work closley to make both games as good as they can be.

You should be pleased.

Last year (09) NCAA moved over to the NBA Live gameplay engine. Both gameplay teams work closely together throughout the year on development and making the two games unique. Mike Wang and Jeff Antwi (Live gameplay producers) along with Novell Thomas (NCAA gameplay producer) have really stepped up everything across the board with gameplay for 10. It really plays and feels like a different game this year.

Hey Jab, any word on whether or not importing draft classes will be in 10? I think spending $60 on an NCAA game that doesn't allow you to take your draft classes from a dynasty and put them in Live is a waste of money. That feature will determine whether or not EA gets my money for NCAA this year...much like this year lol.

Honestly don't know...The game doesn't come out until some time in the fall, so it'll be a bit for sure. The second I have anything to share or answer I will be online with it.

I just hope the comparisons are different from football. Not seeing all those great Madden upgrades in NCAA Football is quite a disappointment.

I know EA isn't trying to make two of the same game. But both should at least feel different from the year before. Thats my hope.

NCAA Basketball 10 is different in so many ways from 09. Looks and feels much much much better

NCAA Football devs also talked a big game and now look at the failsauce they are putting out. I sure hope you are right. 09 was pretty decent, but had a lot of room to improve on.
